ALL SOUNDS GOOD and THE DVD is BEEN RELEASED AGAIN, BEING PRIVATELY SEEDED ON BROKEN-S AND THANKS TO iSKYLLA FOR POSTING IT ON THE GREEN D!

PLEASE, DO NOT SEED FROM THE OLD TORRENTS AT ALL!!! pirate2.gif

Enjoy! More Guides to come for iATKOS v2.0i

QUOTE
hi people, it is nearly ok to release.
On this release of our team we mostly worked on GPT with dual boot systems and fixed the boot errors of earlier versions. Having dual boot on GPT or MBR harddrives is easier with iATKOS 2.0i. We also added latest Apple updates and some vga drivers. Size 2.64gb iso image.

This is for Intel sse3, optimizing iATKOS for less compatible systems may happen but this is not a promise because idebox is more exciting for us, at least for now
Thanks to my brother eskurza at first, missed you buddy..
Thanks to all osx86 devs.

MrRoper

thanks for posting
abeltcb
Has it been release?.
themanis
Hey Abeltcb, it should be floating around on demonoid and the bay approx in 1 week, We'll Keep this post up to date.
xSNOWCAT
i was going to install kalyway but i'll wait for this. i have a question

to install this, will it be the same way to install iATKOS 1.0i or 1.0ir2?
themanis
xSNOWCAT, it will be better and much more efficent than v1.0i which is better than v1.0ir2 in terms of bootloader setup and booting. It shouldn't need you to make the partition active after installing it will make the leopard partition active during itself, seriously the OSX86 build that makes alot of components work by default (in my case; HP Pavillion dv2000 & the PC in my SIG)

I will do a Guide and post it on the forums once i get my hands on v2.0i.

Have a good day

themanis
Hey greyMD, patience and we shall all get a good iATKOS v2.0i!! :-) I am as much eager to get it as you mate!
Ezkurza from the osx86 turk team should be seeding the release from a private ftp next weekend, will be up on the bay and similar docks hehe

cheers
Cinner
Can't wait. I've been using the previous iATKOS release and it's been working great. Never managed to install Kalyway succesfully.
themanis
Cinner, same here never really had a straight forward installation with any other osx86 builds other than iATKOS.

I've installed iATKOS v1.0ir2 and then used the Kalyway 10.5.2 ComboUpdate and it works fine except NVinject makes the boot time a bit longer but other than that, Software is all working no kernel panics or anything (Logic Studio, iMovie, Office 2008, Aperture , Lightroom all work perfectly) and some hardware i have that works natively with it's Mac OS X drivers! it seems that most other osx86 builds have a bit of hassle getting some up and running. IMO

cheers

gg

the most interesting thing is that just today i`ve completed to download Leo4Allv3 ))

and, now, don`t know what to do ...

That happens in most streamlined installations, I have the same problem with spanish language, but I've discovered a way yo properly install additional languages.

- In case you have a 10.5.1 Iatkos installation, planning to update to 10.5.2:

1.- install 10.5.0 french.pkg
2.- install 10.5.2 COMBO update. (not delta)

That way, you'll have the base language files from 10.5.0 and all the new language updates til 10.5.2

- In case you already have 10.5.2 installed

1.- Install 10.5.0 french.pkg
2.- Open 10.5.2 Combo update with Pacifist
3-. Search for french.lproj
4.- Select all results in the sidebar
5.- Install to default locations.

Will this have support for Dell Laptops running the Intel X3100 and Sigmatal Audio?
iSkylla
iATKOS is a good release because everything is kept simple. Good for the OSx86 noobs :-D
themanis
iSkylla, probably wouldn't be considered for noobs cause all of the problems that people keep posting on the forums are them having problems with other builds. Just because you installed using a Retail DVD doesn't mean this is for noobs when you can just follow a guide copy and pasting lol

It's good because it's done right, count how many issues people are having with other builds and let me know?!
iSkylla
I didn't mean to be condescending, I hope it didn't come across that way. I was simply complimenting that the install is laid out really well.

A.k.a instead of putting 10.5.2 OGL kexts and framework, they say nVidia and OpenGL drivers. It's just much easier to understand if you don't have experience with OSx86.
themanis
Alright then, fair enough i just get irritated from the word noob especially if it's not said in the right situation, you know what i mean? some people say it with the intention of proving you're a noob and know nothing.

Sorry if i got it this way iSkylla :-)

have a nice day

is it on the bay or demonoid yet?

no just Intel SSE3
Detosx
I have two Leopard partitions and neither often bootups up on the first boot. It generally freezes up. Verbose mode shows it freezing AppleACPIPS2nub or AppleACPIPlatform. A couple of people I know with the same laptop and single OS X partitions haven't had this problem. Is this something that might have been solved with the new iATKOS? Thanks for your hard work. smile.gif Acer 4720z, Intel dual core, GMA X3100. EFI/MBR.

Also, during install, 'thermal kexts', should laptop users remove those, I am never clear on that?

One other. Dumb sounding question but should you put ticks in both kernel 9.2.0 and netkas' kernel 9.2.0 if you want netkas's 9.2.0 (I'm assuming that's his speedstep kernel, which is something I want) ? The implication from the installer is that one 'patch'es the other.

not yet available, but i hope it will be soon, as the dell 1490 arrives biggrin.gif
Sander122
I hate that it doesn't have all SATA/IDE controller drivers; they should get them from Leo4All V3.
blackbird_n1
that would be cool !!!

Please tell us when it's released.

thanks
CLiDE FTW!!1
Hope this comes out sooner, can't wait to try this on my homebrew computer, and my buddy Bolero has been having issues with Leo4all and Kalyway, so this might help happy.gif
sev7en
Thank you for this release!
Gilou
I heard that there were some issues with iatkos and bootloader. And on the screen of the 1st post we can see that it installs a mbr bootloader. I was wondering if it overwrites the mbr of windows. I'm using easyBCD and so I wonder if after installing the mbr of MasOSX I will be able to return to windows to rebuild the mbr.

Thanks
iFred
i cant wait.... biggrin.gif
themanis
Hey Gilou, no don't worry about it messing the Windows's EasyBCD. If you have two seperate partions then i am sure you can add an Entry in EasyBCD "Mac OS X generic x86" and it will boot without any problems, if you have windows and leopard on the same hdd then the installation will only make leopard active without affecting windows. We'll see what happens when it's out in a few days.

iFred: yeah man, worht the wait
iFred
they have some amazing software, i know alot of people love their kaly and their leo4all, but damn... i would have to say that uphuck has made some of the speediest with uphuck...
macsandy
Hi themanis,

I want to try iATKOS v2.0i. I have one question...does it support ATI FireGL V5200 (~= x1600)Graphics card?

Thanks a lot
Sandy
uektper
Has anybody heard about support on V2 for the following:
Intel® PRO/Wireless 3945ABG
NVIDIA GeForce 8400M G
Gilou
Thanks themanis, since I first heard of iatkos which lead me here in the first place, I want to try it first (before Leo4all and kallyway)

[Off topic] By the way, talking about software reminds me to ask if anyone could direct me to a website where I could understand a bit about Mac (softwares to download, how Leopard works, the equivalent with windows....)

http://www.apple.com/

You'll learn a lot from these guys. I read the discusions quite a bit. I see a lot of the same problems with the MBP as we have dealt with some of which were solved here first.
themanis
@macsandy: If it's similar to the x1600 then hopefully it should support it without any problems, the mainly worked on making the insattling process easier and efficent, as well as adding some of the needed kext/drivers.

@uektper: Regarding Intel® PRO/Wireless 3945ABG, it's one of the most frequently opened and continuosly improved topic, so far the team behind developing it are very busy trying to get it to work properly. You can check this thread for more info http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=84072

For the Nvidia GeForce 8400, you can use the NVinject for xxxmb (xxx = you're gpu's ram)

@Gilou: As GimmieRed said, check Apple's website, it's got alot of userful information as well as documentation for everything they did for Mac OS X Leopard. As Well as these following sites; www.uphuck.com / www.osx86scene.org / www.infinitemac.com ....

Regards,

ps: if anyone wants to ask something, don't hesitate to pm me to try and help you out.

Hi,thanks for your work!
I want to know, is that posible install the OSX on my Dell XPS 1710 laptop, with a dual os as windows vista?
I have already installed one x32 and one x64 vista, is it posible install the osx to my x32 vista partation(first partation on the HD)?
Thanks again.
and from where i can get the copy of this 2.0?
JonZ
It is possible. Heck, I even triple booted OSX, Vista and uBuntu on my m1710.

Install OSX last if you use mbr partition.
SherifOne
Is it possible to fudge around with the fsb settings on a vanilla kernel? I wasn't sure if this was something that is handled by the SMBIOS? I seem to have some sync issues causing the sound to stutter and crackle on my hackintosh.

Its my hope that these newer releases will autodetect or provide some .plist to modify. I'm running a 1333mhz FSB (or 333mhz quad pumped). Its my understanding that the default is 200mhz? What options would I choose at boot to make this all dandy smile.gif
greyMD
no news ? o_0
iFred
how many more days do we gave to wait...? wink.gif
