I've installed Zephyroth distro, natit and alc883 ext. Works ok, except that when i close applications (like opera, textedit, etc) i still see them when i press Alt-Tab or in the Activity Monitor, and seems like they're still using memory.

any ideas? My config is:

Athlon XP 64 x2 AM2 3600+
msi k9n neo -f
1GB DDR2 667
HD HITACHI SATA II 160GB
DVD LG ATA
GeForce 7100GS 256MB TC

How do you close the application? By clicking on the Red button on the corner of the window or pressing "Command-Q"?

If you are clicking on the red button, then you are not closing the application. You must use command-q
