Hey all! I'm driving myself crazy with this card. Spent almost 6 hours trying all different ways yesterday. Here are my system specs:
Intel Q9450
Gigabyte GA-EX38-DS4
XFX 8600GT 680M 256MB Overclocked Video Card
2 GB Crucial Ballistix Ram (Waiting on another 2 gigs in the mail)
I was able to install Kalway 10.5.2 with everything workings so far. (IDE, SATA, Sound ALC 889a, USB, Firewire).
The only thing that I cannot get for the life of me is the Video card. I have tried everything NVInject, Titan, Both Punk's installer and NVinstaller v.41. I have tried the suggestions in this thread http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=82080 And it still does not work. At one point it did boot into OSX but then it said that the Kexts where not installed properly. I redid the kexts and it still didn't work. Maybe the vendor ID won't match to mine. Whenever I do the NVInject, the PC reboots and stays in the blank screen but keeps the monitor on. If I change the DVI port, the monitor goes to standby mode. If I reboot into safe mode and go to the system profiler, it shows me all the right info. The PC works beautifully in safe mode. But just can't get it to boot normally.
I don't know what else to do or try. Please if anyone has any suggestions please let me know before I end up breaking something. This is what my system profiler says currently.
