I´ve been running Kalys Leo 10.5.1 on my Ga p35-dsr3 have a q6600 cpu 8 gig ga 7300 gs video card for some time now and it works really good. The other day I started to figure maby it´s time to clean out the drivers I don´t need for this setup, it´s been working allmoast free from any problems at all but why not try to make it better if possible. I know to little about this I´m just a user no tech guy I´m afraid so I have to ask here. I only built this computer for making music in Logic and Reason so I´m depending on you guys and I´m ever so gratefull for any help. Natit is a gonner and so are all ati, apple onboard sound and graphics kexts for obvious reasons (I have the Focusrite Saffire Pro 10 i/o soundcard).

Might just as well ask away about the Apple thermal kext cause I belive I read somewhere here it should be deletet to, is that right? I´ve got some issues with the powersupply and probably also the cpu fan sometimes keep running even though I´ve shut down. It´s no big problem I just hit button on the back of it to kill it completely but it would be cool to get it fixed.
Thanks
sg
no, you still need the geforce kexts if you have nvinject. also this isn't windows, don't delete any kexts, they will only load if you install hardware that needs it. if its not needed those kexts are ignored.

OK thanks, sorry for me being a bit confused just as you´ve noticed I´m a former PC guy. Strange though about video kexts cause it wasn´t before I deleted the Natit kext and downloaded and replaced it the nvinject that I could use dual displays. Thats when I started to suspect kexts not needed in your system could mess things up.
It looks like my gear works a bit better for some reason though after deleeting all the ATI kexts and the Apple onboard sound and video kexts. Well maby it´s just me imagine things biggrin.gif . OK, thanks man
