Hi guys,

Sorry to bug y'all but I have FINALLY managed to get 10.5.2 up and running on my PC (Config in Sig). BUT!!! I have no sound and the video resolution only goes t 1024x768, which ona 19" monitor looks aweful.

The sound card is Creative SB Live! Player 1024 and is Intel 82801EB ICH5 - AC'97 Audio Controller

I have no sound at all, so how do I go about fixing that? is there a patch/driver or kext for this??

I also have a ATI Radeon X1950 Pro Video card with 512MB RAM, but can only have 1024x768??? Any fixes etc. I had to do the move drivers thing with Kalyway because I had a blank black screen the first boot.

Can anyone help me?? Any and all suggestions greatly appreciated.

I had the same problems you did, sound and video. Yet I have Sigmatel audio and nVidia graphics.
After about 5 minutes of work, it's flawless.

Thank you for your suggestion. I have now managed to sort the graphics issue, thanks to jccool method.

However still have no sound. I think I am right in saying that my Creative SB Live! is not supported? But I think I should be able to get onboard sound.

I have Intel ICH5 AC'97 Audio Controller.

In the Kalyway 10.5.2 install process I selected the Ac97 drivers for ICHx chipsets, but alas no sound.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?
