hi, I installed Kalaway 10.5.2 on my HP notebook nx7400, and as you all know the mute LED is on and no sound/sound device. I searched the forum and it seemed that AD1981HD is not working on Kalaway Leopard 10.5.2.

Is there any solution or working case here?

Hi,
try this one : http://narod.yandex.ru/disk/21029000/Apple...nstaller.v2.zip
found here : http://wiki.taruga.net/tiki-index.php
This is the original thread it came from.

it worked for me with nc6510b.

Check links what verleihnix posted, as it works for me too with 10.5.2.
Sound over speakers works, with latest fix there audio doesn't auto-mute after 60 seconds.
What does not work however is headphones if you plug them in, or audio input.

PS: Using laptop Compaq 6910p

Hi Nick,
Got a Compaq 6910p but had problem installing. What do you select in Kalyway 10.5.2 installation? Any bios configuration?

Thanks.

Hi,

well.. honestly, after so much fiddling I forgot.
After first installing Leopard, I did mistake by upgrading BIOS on laptop.
Mistake, as after that my install fas fu**ed, and any consecutive install had weird issue: screen refresh *like when you select menu) would bring laptop to extreme crawl speed - making it unusable.
I tried several installations, but as far as I remember using Leo4All was successful.

You'll need to install GFX driver, Audio driver - and also make sure to install PCMCIA driver, as without it my laptop would take good 5 minutes to boot! With it installed, it boots really fast.

As for network, wireless works, but LAN card is not working.

Overall, it's very usable smile.gif

Hi everybody,

I got Kalyway 10.5.1 installed on my HP nx6310 (Celeron@1.46Ghz, ADI1981HD sound card). Everything works fine, except sound in and headphones out. Is there any hope for fixing those issues soon?

Thanks!

Nick7 - Did you have to change any BIOS settings to get Leo to install?

I've tried iAtkos and Kalyway - but I can't even get to the installer.

I haven't tried Leo4All... I think I deleted the iso! Doh.

If you didn't have to change any BIOS settings, then I'll re-download Leo4All. If you did have to mess with the BIOS, then I'll try Kalyway again after BIOS changes (if needed)

Should also mention I'm trying to install on a Compaq 6910p, and not the rig mentioned in my sig!
