ok, I am sat in my uni library and I read that carphone warehouse and O2 stores have End of Lifed the iPhone in the UK.... I was planning on buying one after my exams. So I ring my local store (not telling you where it is because you will more than likely rush out and get one of the last two!) and they still have stock......

What do I do? I have enough money but I'm always iffy about big purchases.... its purely as a toy to play with really, wont see much use as a phone.......

I'd buy it. It's a good and useful device that will save your ass more than once.

Do it! The apple fanboy says so! (me!)

Buy it. You won't be disappointed. Got mine last week, and just discovered Fring yesterday - free & easy wifi calls from my iPhone.

Only thing I'm struggling with is Maps, seems very picky about postcodes etc...

iPhoned smile.gif installer, the bsd subsystem and the terminal are all amazing. not sold on the idea of it as a phone though, still liking my trusty nokia for its great battery life, as a PDA and iPod though it is awesome! biggrin.gif

Fring isnt really free. I dont believe there is any free SIP provider, sadly, they charge atleast $20 per 60 days.

I've considered the same thing, I went with the Blackberry Curve though, altho now I wish I had waited for the Bold. I think with the iPhone would become more of a plaything like the FIC Freerunner I'm considering purchasing in December. For a everyday phone though I'm not so sold on the iPhone.

If your not going to use it as a phone just get an ipod touch and install some apps on it.
