It'll work fine. It's a USB mic, so it has absolutely nothing to do with whichever sound card/patch you have. It "installs" itself as a completely separate sound device.

i'm using usb sound stick with ordinary mic and all works fine, combined with little utility called sound source, i have headphones(and mic) plugged to the usb stick(speakers to onboard audio) and everytime i want to use HP/MIC i just select usb audio from menu bar, very handy:)
works out of the box, without installing any drivers, using kalyway 10.5.1 updated to 5.2
