Ive just installed 10.4.4 and it recognizes my built in ethernet but it says the cable is unplugged? it will not let me go in and configure any options for it?

Could this be a IONetworkingFamily.kext issue? The one i have installed is dated Jan 2006. Does anyone have any clue what might cause this?

Im running 10.4.4 and the ethernet card is an Intel Pro 100, i actually have a 3com installed too but it doesnt even recognize that.

Thanks

copy the kexts (I did IO80211family too for wireless) from 10.4.3 over and repair permissions, then reboot with wired ethernet connected (you might have to cycle power to your router then). I had similar problem with wireless loss after a time, didnt recoocur when did that.

gluck, cheers
