the guys over @ http://forums.krazynonsense.com/showthread...p?p=448#post448

are talking about the dev dvd for osx86 being leaked to morrrow the day after.

i dont know if there is any truth behind this. but it would be great to finaly get our hands on this fantastic OS.

i hope we can still reach the target for our Dev kit donations. because it will help with the cracking of the TCPA that apple has put into

osx86.

I dont see how having the full distribution will change anything. As of right now it seems there's enough to get the system working, except for the TPM protection.

Well, despite the fact that now we know the leak of the full DVD may not change the situation, we should still pay attention to anything that might be useful for all of us. Hope it's true :D

LOL - Krazy Nonsense just gets their news from us anyway. If anything leaks, you'll know about it here first. However, we aren't a warez site - we'll just report what we see.

Wow....thats a sight for sore eyes....as my eyes have been staring at this damn foggy Atlantic Canadian wather 8) This is good news and all, but it really won't change our current situation to much, until we can figure out how to bypass the TPCM. And then there's hardware......yada,yada,yada.....

But hey, good news is good news....Can't wait to "aquire" it when I get back from vacation!

BTW: Had waffles this morning Shudder....they kicked ass!

Ok so people are saying it will install on mac or pc(the dvd that is). So what if we installed it on a mac and made a hard-disk image of that and then moved all of those files over to the darwin 8.1 x86 setup, then we should have all of the files. And then if we work on the mach_override to take out tpm we should be set.

Has anyone been able to search for an x86 version of ATSServer on the OS X86 Install DVD itself?

Or does the installation program's GUI actually run Rosetta too?

I have a tablet pc that has the 915 intel chipset & tpm, but seeds are dead in the ground - it would be nice to find some that sprout :D

PM me if you can help...

Okay, i was one of the first 37 to start leeching got it in for a few hours now, nobody here seems to have it yet, but no worries. It seems to be the installer! And the seeding is still going..

EDIT: LOOKS GOOD INDEED! :D It is the original..

dev tools file on the disk:

/Volumes/Mac OS X Install Disc/System/Installation/Packages/Packages/MacOSX10.4.Universal.pkg

This at all doesn't appear on the normal tiger disk.. There it appears like this:

/Volumes/Mac OS X Install DVD/Xcode Tools/Packages/MacOSX10.4.pkg
