Issue while booting Snow Leopard DVD

21 April 2012 - 09:20 PM

Hi everybody, yestarday I was searching how to install Snow Leopard on my HP dm4 1280la, the specs will be at the end oh this post. Now, hours ago, I burned 3 BootCD's: 1 ######, 2 Empire EFI v1.085, 3 Nawcom Boot. The thing is, I've tried every Boot CD and these are the results:

1 ######:
Starts normally, when I swap the disc for the SL DVD there is no problem.
Starts to load the Gray wallpaper from the installer, and suddenly shows a message:

"Please shutdown your computer by holding down the power button until the screen turns off"
Something like that. and, I've tryed one and one again, with no results.

2 Empire EFI v1.085
Starts normally, when I swap the disc for the SL DVD there is no problem.
When I hit enter to boot from SL DVD this is what is on the Screen:

No DSDT found, using 0 as uid value
Loaded HFS+ file: [Extra/smbios.plist] 416 bytes from 42521f0
Patched DMI Table
No DSDT replacement found. Leaving ACPI Table as is
Starting Darwin x86
Press any key to continue

And when I hit any key, it just reboot normally and DONT BOOT to the Snow Leopard DVD.
I've tryed by typing:
-v rd(0,0)/Extra/modbin_kernel

and still do the same.

3 Nawcom BootCD
It does the same like Empire Efi

Please Give me some Help! I want to install it.
Thanks by reading.

Need help to Instal Mac OS 10.6

Hi everybody, I own a HP dm4 1280 la model, and for what I've seen, it has similar Hardware like some 13" Macbook's. The Specs are the Nexts:

Specs from HP Web:http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c02705832&tmp_task=prodinfoCategory&cc=mx&dlc=es&lc=es&product=5052241&aoid=35252

Intel® HD Graphics

Intel Corporation:5 Series/3400 Series Chipset 4 port SATA AHCI Controller

8Gb RAM DDR3 SODIMM 1333Mhz

My question is, ¿It's a good idea trying to install Mac OS on this Notebook? ¿If I could, which OS should I install? And... what tutorial can guide me thru?
Well, Thank you! and... I want to test and use Mac, because I don't like Windows... and I don't have money to buy an expensive Mac.

Duda Pre-Instalación con HP dm4 1280la

20 April 2012 - 02:06 AM

Hola a todos, tengo una HP dm4 1280la y por lo que he visto, tiene Hardware similar a algunas Macbook de 13", las características son las siguientes:

Especificaciones según la Web de HP

SMBios version 2.6
Hewlett-Packard 146A 58.28
Bios: Hewlett-Packard F.26 taille: 2048Kb

Northbridge: Intel Havendale/Clarkdale Host Bridge
Southbridge: Intel HM55

Intel Core i5 460M Arrandale Socket 989 rPGA (@32 nm) 2533 Mhz ( L1I: 2 x 32 Ko, L1D: 2 x 32 Ko, L2: 2 x 256 Ko, L3: 3072 Ko )

Intel® HD Graphics

Intel Corporation:5 Series/3400 Series Chipset 4 port SATA AHCI Controller

8Gb RAM DDR3 SODIMM 1333Mhz

Saludos!
