Hey guys,

I have been trying for a few days to install ML but i get stuck at the "Still waiting for root device". I made the usb using pcwiz13's tutorial. I have tried all the suggestions in this topic but with no luck. These are all the boot args i tried: -v GraphicsEnabler=No busratio=20 PCIRootUID=1 UseKernelCache=No npci=0x2000.

Also tried creating usb stick with other methods but the same result. Also tried all usb ports. Any other suggestions?

my laptop also behaves strange after i downgraded to bios a06 and reinstalled win 7 a while ago. if i hit fn + f3 the trackpad  doesn't disable, the orange led turns on but that's all. fn + f11/f12 don't work all the time (win only) and also quickset doesn't work all the time. upgrading to a11/reinstalling all drivers didn't work.

@DoiX try carbon copy cloner, i use it to make a full bootable backup of os x.

hmm right untill now i had 8,2 i will change to 8,1 to see if it works.
edit: it doesn't work.

I already updated, i cannot update again.. i got a kp after 1st restart but i reinstalled AICPUPM and that solved the kp. Also tried nullcpu, reinstalling all kexts, no changes, the blank screen remains. I'll just do a clean install hopefully today.
