15 April 2012 - 02:44 AM

@akash shinde,

Hi Friends after different efforts i am installed mac os x lion on my acer 4741z P6000 intel dual core processor using iatkos l1 dvd.resetting iocatalog is a error for many peoples.Many of them are waiting for iatkos l2 cause they think that this is a problem in iatkos l1,they are completely wrong.
If you are this problem then just follow steps below:
1.insert iatkos l1 dvd
2.install iatkos l1
3.After succesfull installation reboot computer/laptop whatever .....
4.remove DVD
5.boot into installed mac lion os x with -v kernel flag
6.if your computer stops responding with continuously resetting iocatalog.....THEN
7.boot into iatkos l1 dvd
5.Go to Terminall under utility
6.Type follwing commonds

rm -R /Volumes/(volume name where mac lion installed)/System/Library/Extensions/AppleIntelHDGraphics.kext

rm -R /Volumes/(volume name where mac lion installed)/System/Library/Extensions/AppleIntelHDGraphicsFB.kext

rm -R /Volumes/(volume name where mac lion installed)/System/Library/Extensions/AppleIntelHDGraphicsGA.plugin

rm -R /Volumes/(volume name where mac lion installed)/System/Library/Extensions/AppleIntelHDGraphicsGLDriver.bundle

rm -R /Volumes/(volume name where mac lion installed)/System/Library/Extensions/AppleIntelHDGraphicsVADriver.bundle

rm -R /Volumes/(volume name where mac lion installed)/System/Library/Extensions/AppleIntelHDGraphicsFramebuffer.kext

7.Quit Terminal
8.Restart PC and boot into installed Mac Lion
9.Enjoy Mac Lion X with Welcome Screen ....

Thanks for the info bro..

@Munchee,

After we do that, what next? Are we doomed to 1024x768 hell?

Apparently, we are..

In Topic: HELP: Install OSX 10.7.2 (Lion) to USB Without Using a Working Mac

@rlf,

Last week I installed iAtkos L2 onto an i5 in about 20 minutes after it booted. Booting took maybe 15 minutes.

Last night, I have waited for about 1 & 1/2 hour and it just stays at the last part of the setup.. It said something like, "Approximately 2 minutes remaining".. Then, I unplugged the computer because I was thinking that something is wrong.. After that, I tried booting the disk again.. As said earlier, it took so much time.. That's when I assumed that the iATKOS L2 DVD is damaged..

I would have to go check, but isn't###### for Snow Leopard? I believe it says what it will do on the #######.

Yes it's for Snow Leopard, but I'll still give it a try..

Don't install iAtkos into the virtual machine, install the Retail OSX into the virtual machine.

Oh, I see.. When installing it (Retail Version of OSX Lion) into a virtual machine, do I have to add or tweak something?? Or, should I just set it so it'll boot with the image mounted into its virtual disk drive..

I just booted iAtkos on my i5 and it took 5 minutes total. It took about 3 minutes after the nstat messages appeared.

I tried reinstalling the iATKOS L2 last night after my internet connection broke.. Fortunately, after waiting for a sum of 1 hour, it had a successful installation.. My only problem now is that after booting my iATKOS L2, it's stucked at the loading screen.. I tried booting it in verbose mode and the last text was:
Resetting IOCatalog

@rlf,

Yeah.. I understand the need for a bootloader.. Unfortunately, (as what I have said before) I don't have any Mac.. I tried installing the iATKOS L2 in a virtual machine, but it didn't worked.. It just gave me some error..

Right now, I'm planning to use i.B.o.o.t.. What do you think?? Will it make the DVD with the untouched retail version of OSX Lion boot on a PC??

@rlf,

Oh, I see.. I'm just wondering because last night, it just took few minutes to boot.. Today, it took more time than I could ever wait..

Thanks for your help..

BTW, if I'll boot a burned retail version of OSX Lion, will it boot faster?? What are your thoughts??

P.S.

What is your estimated installation duration for iATKOS L2 on Core i5 430m??

Sorry, I don't know the speed to which the files were burned into the disk..

Anyway, does it affect the duration of the installation??

@rlf,

Here's the last part that seems to give some clue:
