:thumbsup_anim: Maibe recovery but no VM Volume

:P

Dear Chris for me Hackintosh is just a challenge between me and myself. Once it boots and have the essential it's enough. For important things I have a real Mac :thumbsup_anim:  :hysterical:

That's the reason why you probably never see any help request by me. I have a problem that I can't solve on Hack I for example a little modification of config.plist that locks boot, I mount Hack  SSD on Mac and I correct the issue.

No DSDT and SSDT no board definition, no kexts just 2 64drivers I am probably the only one with unusual installation working and all is declared usually necessary. I haven't full QE/Ci but I can play every local and you tube files. Launchpad is perfect, What I can I desire more?

Core is not good because Imaging is death in HS, Core.pkg or Osinstall.mpkg is depreciated for High Sierra

Core.pkg do not Create a Recovery HD and Volumes VM

You can try the new Apple Deploying method startosinstall  its the new way for Deploy recommanding by Apple!

The tools is inside macOS High Sierra Beta.app, the name startosinstall; you can find in Contents/Resources/startosinstall

This is good for all Hackintosh user

I find it a shame to see so many people have a lot of difficulty with High Sierra

You can see my signature, My Hackintosh Stuff.  I made a program a few weeks ago to use startosinstall, the name is MACOSXInstaller. Clover is included in my program as well as the apfs drivers

If you doing this on your way

See Usage: startosinstall bellow

Usage: startosinstall --applicationpath <install macOS.app path>

Arguments

--applicationpath, a path to copy of the OS installer application to start the install with.

--license, prints the user license agreement only.

--agreetolicense, agree to license the license you printed with --license.

--rebootdelay, how long to delay the reboot at the end of preparing. This delay is in seconds and has a maximum of 300 (5 minutes).

--pidtosignal, Specify a PID to which to send SIGUSR1 upon completion of the prepare phase. To bypass "rebootdelay" send SIGUSR1 back to startosinstall.

--converttoapfs, specify either YES or NO on if you wish to convert to APFS. If you do not specify this, the default is YES.--usage, prints this message.

You can start from scratch, Inside macOS Sierra 10.12 ; formatted your SSD or HD in Mac OS Extended journaled / Guid table

To do the method manually

FIRST! Install Clover to the SSD or HD in (UEFI) or (ESP boot0af + CloverEFI 64-Bits SATA), not working Legacy

Do not use Clover RC scripts on select volume.

Make sure you have on your Applications macOS High Sierra Beta.app (Beta 4 or Public Beta 3)

Select Volume not working in BETA 1,2,3 This is why you need BETA 4 or PB 3

If you doing this on your way

See Usage: startosinstall Upper

Its verry fast, when its finish you have to clic Terminate

See Pics bellow

Spoiler

On that way you have Clover install for APFS Volumes or HFS+J

Hope that help and fix your issue

Trouble shooting for APFS Install

If you have install to a External SSD you can correct the trouble shooting APFS

Retry, Reboot and dont install, open the folder in your Install SSD

macOS Install Data verify the file minstallconfig.xml see if the APFS is set to true

like the image in the Spoiler

I edit the post so that people see the Usage startosinstall

Core pkg install and i have recovery working. Unfortunately on all the 4 betas this is the only one that never fails. With all others it is impossible or to do the stick or the installation fails.

I tried all. 150 tries from June 7th. :thumbsup_anim:

Any one tries to do his better.

To apianti.

i boot with or without -v flag with auto login or without and there are no errors. Mine is very special set up. Only firmware scap in EFI//Apple/Extensions, No DSDT and SSDT,  in Clover/ACPI Only HFS plus and OsxAptio2Drv, No Kexts in EFI/Clover  custom DSDT fixes and no injected kexts in config, plist. I had errors only just installed cause an AppleIntelFBCabri and SNB conflict, deleting Capri I solved it. All Kets in System/Library/Extensions

It boots as fast as I wrote also with Manta TR1 IR (to control it with any apple remote) and an older Equinox the tubeTv stick. I Disabled and unistalled integrated pci WIFI/BT cause to whitelist Bios lock.

The only problem is if I forget an usb device on usb3 left side it restarts instead of shutdown. The system boots also with older clover versions, for example the one of Mavericks USB stick, I don't remember version

number.

SSD is installed on main Laptop bus, with Sierra, (Part 1), High Sierra (part. 2) and original laptop 5400 rpm HD win 10 on additional HD caddy.

Very important I have no MLB and complete SMbios definition and I Use 0x3 Booter config and 0x67 CSr active on config, plist

I am forgetting something. Camera doesn't work. Mine is B590 model 3761 and to have airport integrated I flashed BIOS 3 years ago and it worked with 20206 version one (camera worked). I Tried once again two weeks ago and I probably installed the wrong one so I I was obliged to instal its one /webcam doesn't work as it originally was.

The only way I can get a snapshot of the kernel verbose boot is to use the new camera feature rapid shot on the latest iPhones may have been able to do this in iPhone 5 not sure but should be able to do this on iPhone 6 and 7.  It can take up to 200 frames, I look through them and save the ones that pickup anything unusual. You can almost see it even it if boots fast but no way you will know what the error is unless you can catch it with a photo snapshot.

From clicking reboot to usable desktop just dialing pswd to access 43 secs including 5secs timeout. No errors

If I disconnect archer tp link and trust usb BT I think it will be faster.

Thanks everybody. Unfortunately my boot is too fast on SSD hfs partition beta 4 (17A315i) clover 4128 to tell you if there are (and what kind) errors. W-Fi network starts immediately and monitor preferences appears an main bar.
