My system is compatible with Snow leo except my GPU. It can only handle up to 10.5.8 with QE CI. So i would just want to know if its still worth it to update to 10.6.
what i'm just doing are
Web browsing, MS office (word,powerpoint.. etc) and try apps in the mac appstore.

Hackintosh can't completely Shutdown
04 May 2012 - 02:41 PM
I've successfully made my hackintosh 10.5.5 fully working for a week until yesterday.
whenever i shutdown my pc it doesnt do a complete shut down. The computer fan, lights etc. is still working and i need to hold the power button on the cpu to turn it off completely.
so far i tried installing Evoreboot.kext (not working) and also tried Openhaltrestart.kext (not working)

Viarhine kext is unstable, randomly disconnects internet connection
09 March 2012 - 06:05 PM
i tried many viarhine.kext i searched from the internet and i cant seem to find a stable one. randomly it disconnects my internet connection.
to make it work again i need to restart my pc, i am not experiencing this on my xp dual boot.
(also for a temporary work around, how can i reconnect using some terminal commands or something so that i will not restart my pc every time this happens )

hi, i just installed iDeneb 10.5.8 lite on my pc, but i have a FX 5500 so to enable QE CI i did these:
install 9f23installer.pkg
then set Custom GFX string by using Osx86tool
i restarted and then i installed Coregraphics.framework 10.5.5
it all worked perfectly and i was able to Fully Enable QE CI, everything was working great
but the only problem is the Glitched SYSTEM PREFERENCE and also some other windows, its black and garbled
this is the screenshot.
