Convert Hybrid GPT partition to Pure GPT partition

24 March 2015 - 07:01 AM

Guys have you suffer from any error like Windows can not be installed to this disk. The selected disk has an MBR partition table. On EFI systems, Windows can only be installed to GPT disks If any then this is your will surely help you to install Windows ON GPT Partition Table.

After moving to Mac OS X completely sometime i Realize that i need windows for some reasons which i am going explain it here but the moral of the story is that Windows is needed for some reasons.

Windows with GUID  Partition Table on Non-UEFI platform is very difficult, task to handle, But what if we want to use Windows on GPT with Legacy or non -UEFI platform then this guide is surely help you out.

Disk utility Creates Hybrid Disk Partition which Windows will not allow to install on so we need to converts those partitions Hybrid Partition to PURE (protective you can say ) so download this tool from the given link

Think i have tested:-

1:-Old kext of IOUSBFamlily.kext

2:-BTFirmwareUploader.kext (Tested version 2.4,2.6,2.7)

3:-Rehabman's Ath3kfirmware

4:-toledaARPT.kext

How To Fix The Boot0af Error using Clover

03 October 2014 - 08:00 AM

3.png

Clover is advance boot loader  which is totally different from Chameleon and Chimera, in fact it can emulate the EFI portion present on real macs and boot the OS from there instead of using the regular legacy BIOS approach used by Chameleon and Chimera. This highly recommended for UEFI motherboard.

One AWESOME feature of Clover is that iMessage, iCloud, FaceTime, the Mac App Store works along with Find My Mac,Back To My Mac and since Clover can use the EFI partition. It is very difficult to work Clover boot loader  on MBR partition scheme because it actually need EFI partition but the EFI partition is only visible or created if our hard drive partition scheme is GUIDE partition scheme NOT THE MBR partition scheme.

Apparently we can install Clover Boot loader on MBR partition scheme but it produce me error called Boot0abecause i am using EFI bios not the UEFI bios and Clover Boot Loader is specially made for UEFI bios, because of my EFI bios i got this error. For this error i have research a lot but there is no easy solution for MBR partition scheme,a plenty of guide need EFI partition which i don't have because of my HDD is formatted in MBR partition scheme so i figure out the simplest method to solve this error without any GUID partition scheme

Solution for the Boot0af error
Requirement to solve the problem
1:-MAC OS X installer (USB only)
2:-boot1h file
3:-Working Hackintosh/Mackintosh
4:-Enoch Boot Loader

Step 1 (Installing Enoch)

Install MAC OS X with Enoch boot loader which produce boot0error if you have 4k sector drive but if you don't have boot0error issue then skip the step 1 & 2
Step 2 (Fixing Boot0.. error)
:-Download the Chameleon binary folder from google and copy the boot1h file to your MAC OS X installer
:-Restart your computer, and boot from MAC OS X installer Once the Mac OS X Installer starts, open Disk Utility by opening the "Utilities" menu in the menu bar.
:-In Disk Utility, select the hard disk partition where Mac OS X is installed from the sidebar, and unmount it.
:-Once that's done, close Disk Utility and open Terminal from the Utilities window. Open  terminal, type:
diskutil list
Once you do type this terminal commands
cd /Volumes/"USB Drive"
dd if=boot1h of=/dev/identifier bs=4096
Note:-Replace "USB Drive" with the name of your Mac OS X Installer
Step 3 (Install Clover)
:-Download Clover boot loader from Download
:-install in following way
Screen+Shot+2014-08-04+at+5.31.28+PM.png
Make sure choose following option in Clover otherwise you will never get success on this error
Install Clover in ESP
Boot Loader=>Install boot0af in MBR
Clover EFI->Clover EFI 64-bit SATA
Themes=>Select any
Once you done choosing following option then install it before restarting your System edit your config.plist as per your requirements then restart.

MAC OS X Yosemite Beta 1,2,3 Hackintosh Guide

03 October 2014 - 07:51 AM

This Guide is tested on Yosemite Beta 1,2,3 and Golden Master version 3.0

Screen%2BShot%2B2014-09-26%2Bat%2B11.51.

Requirements for making USB Installer

:-USB Flash drive at least 8 GB
:-Install OS X Yosemite Beta.app (Download it from app store)
:-Enoch Boot loader (Enoch-rev.2390) Or Chameleon Boot Loader (r2391)
:-Kernel (retrieve it from Pacifist Essentials.pkg /System/Library/Kernels)
:-Necessary Kext for booting OS X
:-MBR Patch if you HDD is in MBR scheme
Create USB Installer using Disk Utility and Terminal
1.Open Disk Utility and Format your USB Flash Drive as MBR Partition Scheme with Mac OS X Extended Journaled
2.Then Mount your 10.10 Yosemite image from /Application/Install OS X Yosemite Beta /Contents/Shared Support/InstallESD.dmg)
3.Then mount BaseSystem.dmg by using this terminal commands
    open /Volumes/OS\ X\ Install\ ESD/BaseSystem.dmg
4.Restore “OS X Base System” to your USB Flash Drive using disk utility
5.Navigate to USB drive/System/Installation & Delete the “Packages” Alias then copy the "Packages" folder from “OS X Install ESD” to this location.
6. Copy BaseSystem.chunklist and BaseSystem.dmg from InstallESD.dmg to USB
7. Install Enoch Boot Loader (Enoch-rev.2390 and higher) or Chameleon Boot Loader (r2391)on USB drive
8. Create the new folder name as "Extra" on the USB
9. Put SMBIOS in Extra folder 8.1 for Laptop support and 3.1 for Desktop support
10. Copy Following kexts to /USB/System/Library/Extensions/ on your USB stick
NullCPUPowerManagement.kext
FakeSMC.kext
VoodooPS2Controller.kext
And delete following Kext from /USB/System/Library/Extensions/
AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext
AppleIntelCPUPowerManagementClient.kext
11.Make a Org.Chameleon.Boot.Plist with following
Screen%2BShot%2B2014-09-27%2Bat%2B1.58.1 Screen%2BShot%2B2014-09-27%2Bat%2B1.16.4
If you are HP user like me then simply Add cpus=1 along with kext-dev-mode=1 for botting OS X to avoid Kernel Panic related to LocalACPI see the images for better understanding
12.Create the new folder on the USB/System/Library/ name as "Kernels" and place your kernel which you retrieved it from Essential.pkg which is placed in InstallESD.dmg/Packages/ on this location USB/System/Library/Kernels/
13.Download MBR Patch and add the patch once done everything install the Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10 (Build 14A361p) and enjoy the new update.
Screen%2BShot%2B2014-09-27%2Bat%2B1.36.5

Note:Do not add kext on this location /USB/Extra/Extensions/ because sometimes kext will not load if kext dose not load you never reach the Installer screen
