#2103034 [GUIDE] 1st Generation Intel HD Graphics QE/CI

Hello to everyone. It's been a long time since I logged in the forum. Now that I've some more time I can help you.I've just seen Clover patches, maybe you're interested in the binary patterns, aren't you?Anyway, here they are:- for kext version prior 10.8.5 the app uses verteks' utility- for kext version after 10.8.5 (included) the app patches the kext with these binary patterns (the first line is the one you have to find, the second line is the one you have to replace)I divided the patches in some categories to be as clearer as possible: - General patch (for all the configurations):0F 45 C8 42 89 8C 33 F0 01 0090 90 90 42 89 8C 33 F0 01 00- Singlelink patches:- Singlelink patch 1:- from 10.8.5 to 10.9.x:C7 03 01 00 00 00 C7 43 20 00C7 03 00 00 00 00 C7 43 20 00- for 10.10.x onlyC7 07 01 00 00 00 41 C7 47 20C7 07 00 00 00 00 41 C7 47 20- from 10.11.x onC7 03 01 00 00 00 48 B8 0AC7 03 00 00 00 00 48 B8 0A- Singlelink patch 2- for 10.8.5 only:B9 00 00 00 09 C7 85 60 FF FFB9 00 00...

No problem  :) Using the Debug patcher this kext was patched using  SingleLink LW1 LVDS+VGA 10.10.x.   The kexts are not loading. Make sure kexts are installed correctly with Kext Utility and using correct version of OS X for the kexts. If you have OS X 10.9.4 installed then you must install QE/CI 10.9.4 kexts. Thank you. Problem found: I made the debug checkbox invisible, but I left it checked so everytime you tried to patch the framebuffer, the debug check was set to true. My bad .For now use the debug version, tomorrow I will release the patcher working. EDIT: New version online

Yes Apple probably changed the framebuffer code. No problem. When I have some free time I will fix the problem and release a new version of the patcher.

Hi. Could you please send to me Device, Vendor, SubVendor and SubDevice your  Atheros AR9285 (580101-002)? These data can be seen through DPCIManager in the tab PCI List. Download link: http://sourceforge.n...ts/dpcimanager/Thanks! =)  Sure, but it's better to do that on Windows, because I edited the IDs to get the card working on OS X (through DSDT):PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_002B&SUBSYS_3040103C&REV_01 Vendor: 168C (Atheros)Device:  002BSubsystem Device:  3040Subsystem Vendor: 103C (HP)Rev:  01 Hi all. #1986560 [HP G62] Failed to locate SMC driver

Posted by giofrida on 19 January 2014 - 09:18 AM

Ciao.

#1980997 [GUIDE] 1st Generation Intel HD Graphics QE/CI

Posted by giofrida on 02 January 2014 - 08:35 AM

One idea I've been debating on figuring out how to achieve for some time is patching the framebuffer for our first-generation Intel HD Graphics on-the-fly.  Certain bootloaders, like Clover and XPC, support this.  The added benefit of this is that as long as the framebuffer patches remain the same (I assume this only applies to updates, like from 10.9 to 10.9.1, rather than upgrades, like from 10.8.5 to 10.9), we won't have to re-patch or roll back older kexts.  The patch will happen seamlessly by the bootloader. The patches work by find and replace as opposed to offsets, so I assume that such an endeavor will require Mavericks.  I know giofrida posted some patches a while back in this thread (back when it was still in DP), but I don't think those patches worked.  Giofrida, could you could send me the patches you currently use for your patching app for me to test?  Thanks in advanced!! P.S. - If anyone could pass along a hex difference in the...

I'm sorry to say that it still doesn't work in Mavericks DP7.There's no output, just a blank screen. But Framebuffer from 10.8.5 works well.Hi. Please try this version. Try both Mode 1 and Mode 2 patches. Thanks Attached Files  Intel HD Graphics Patcher.zip 791.67KB 39 downloads

I found all the hex edits.Download the document. The first hex line is the line you have to find and the second one is the line you have to replace. The string: B9 00 00 00 09 C7 85 60 FF FF doesn't exist in 10.9 FB. There are other similar ones. I don't know if it's important or not. Attached Files  HD PATCHES.rtf 4.07KB 21 downloads

Hi giofrida, Will try add a score this week for Geekbench. I edited CPUPM with the MacbookPro8,3 data to get more P-states. This patch is not compatible with the newest BIOS, that is why I use their patch for newer BIOS as base. Thanks for the USB3.0 tip! I don't have any USB3.0 device yet, but it would be nice to have more USB-ports. :) Thanks. Just tried editing the kext. It "unlocks" at least 3-4 more p-states. Maybe I'll try doing the same thing with our laptop because I only get 924MHz and 2260MHz.
