#2061384 OS X Yosemite DP's builds!

Posted by ADHDMedia on Yesterday, 05:12 AM

Did you previously have the sleep fix enabled from here? I did and had to undo both those changes for Internet access to work as mDNSResponder is no longer there. Okay, I was able to patch things up and get back up and running on DP8. Now how did you go about undoing that sleep fix? And does your machine wake back up every two hours again without it? ***Edit*** Never mind, I just went in and typed in the opposite commands and internet access is restored :) Didn't even have to reboot. I'm still curious if my machine is going to wake up every two hours again, though. ***** Off topic, got my wife a MacBook Air tonight [emoji4] gonna update it to Yosemite in a few minutes.

Was more talking about your latter comment… "Yosemite is more of a iTunes selling tool." I don't understand what that means. Yosemite runs beautifully for me. Wouldn't go back to Mavs at all. Yosemite is a "real OS" Yosemite is a "real OS"

Just ask for iMessage support, and when they can't validate your serial number, tell them you bought it on Craigslist lol Soon as I gave iMessage support the code, she just fixed something and it worked again. Viola. Lol

FYI:  If you end up calling them to fix it, have them do FaceTime at the same time.  I just found out the same message appeared for FaceTime and I had to call back.  Should have taken care of both at the same time, woulda saved me that phone call.

No real SN, just one generated in Clover Configurator. Just using a generated MacPro5,1 SMBIOS. The first operator told me he couldn't find my mac by the serial number, but I asked for "iMessage Support" and the lady just had me verify my Apple ID and security info and she "reset" something, and voila! It works [emoji4]

So I did a bit of reading, and I found out that others had the same issues with iMessage that I was having and had resolved it by actually calling Apple and having them fix your iMessage account.  I was definitely skeptical, but lo and behold, it worked like a charm!   iMessage back activated and it's showing everyone else as registered when I try to send a message.  Shot out to Apple for fixing my Hackintosh hahaahha

I recall Apple saying Yosemite is beta software :-) You're not attempting to use beta software for real work, are you? You have another computer with stable software on it, correct? Or at least a second partition with stable software? Like... perhaps... Mavericks? You know what 'beta' means, right? Really don't see the need to be an {censored} about it.  Of course I have another system.  That's not the point.  If I didn't understand what 'beta' meant chances are I wouldn't be here, don't you think?

Thank you.More issues...  I can't open the Desktop and Screen Saver prefpane...  Still having trouble with the wifi on menubar...  Not sure what to do.  I'm gonna try to resinstall the DP6 update directly and see what happens.   Here goes, wish me luck:   Well, it works so far. Rebooted successfully after the update, looks like my issues are fixed.

Ya, frustrating but not the end of the world I guess. Just wish I could enable the HD3000 without having to set it as first in my BIOS, cuz then Clover would just load up on the screen connected to my GTX650 (which is the main screen anyway) instead of sideways on my vertical monitor that's connected to the IGFX.

You can use the dmtest utility from the recovery update to create one from scratch. You need the dmtest file from the Tools folder and the two BaseSystem files from the dmg. Pacifist will let you extract these. Put them all into the same folder and run the following command from that folder in the terminal: sudo dmtest ensureRecoveryPartition / /path/to/BaseSystem.dmg 0 0 path/to/BaseSystem.chunklist The first slash after ensureRecoveryPartition is the destination. You will normally pick your boot drive so that's /   Where do I find this "recovery update" ?  Set PatchVBios=FALSE I already have this in my config.plist: <key>Graphics</key><dict> <key>PatchVBios</key> <false/></dict>...and it gets stuck before booting into Clover GUI with the blinking line in the upper left corner.  Should I maybe try setting it to true?  I'm using Clover r2758 at the moment.  r2774 wouldn'...

Did you install CsmVideoDxe.efi When I had that driver installed, Clover wouldn't boot at all. Just got stuck with the white blinking line on the black screen that usually shows before Clover GUI.

Another quick question, probably more relevant to this topic… when I boot Clover legacy, my HD3000 is able to boot in proper resolution for my monitor, but not in UEFI boot. Any ideas why?

#2043275 GenericUSBXHCI USB 3.0 driver for OS X with source

Posted by ADHDMedia on 22 July 2014 - 10:37 PM

Hi I got it working on DP4 but it involved some things 1. sudo nvram boot-args="kext-dev-mode=1"2. download source3. download xcode, signing in with apple developer account and requesting certificates4. removing _onThunderbolt functions from source as xcode 6 raised like 8 errors on it.5. signing with my mac developer account and then build/compile.6. after installing the resulted .kext with kextwizard i rebuild the mkext with:7. sudo kextcache -m /System/Library/Caches/com.apple.kext.caches/Startup/Extensions.mkext /System/Library/Extensions8. reboot & working for me. I can attach my .kext if that is allowed...... Edit: kext attached Thanks a million bro!  Working for me on DP4.  Awesome.  Back to work I go!  Haha

No problem man, good luck! I personally can't stand that stretched out res…. I was stuck that way on Cham with my Radeon…. Didn't have that problem with Cham on my new GTX, came back with clover and fixed with that driver. Hopefully you can find a simpler solution!
