#2043727 Clover General discussion

Did you install CsmVideoDxe.efi When I had that driver installed, Clover wouldn't boot at all. Just got stuck with the white blinking line on the black screen that usually shows before Clover GUI.

Another quick question, probably more relevant to this topic… when I boot Clover legacy, my HD3000 is able to boot in proper resolution for my monitor, but not in UEFI boot. Any ideas why?

#2043275 GenericUSBXHCI USB 3.0 driver for OS X with source

Posted by ADHDMedia on 22 July 2014 - 10:37 PM

Hi I got it working on DP4 but it involved some things 1. sudo nvram boot-args="kext-dev-mode=1"2. download source3. download xcode, signing in with apple developer account and requesting certificates4. removing _onThunderbolt functions from source as xcode 6 raised like 8 errors on it.5. signing with my mac developer account and then build/compile.6. after installing the resulted .kext with kextwizard i rebuild the mkext with:7. sudo kextcache -m /System/Library/Caches/com.apple.kext.caches/Startup/Extensions.mkext /System/Library/Extensions8. reboot & working for me. I can attach my .kext if that is allowed...... Edit: kext attached Thanks a million bro!  Working for me on DP4.  Awesome.  Back to work I go!  Haha

No problem man, good luck! I personally can't stand that stretched out res…. I was stuck that way on Cham with my Radeon…. Didn't have that problem with Cham on my new GTX, came back with clover and fixed with that driver. Hopefully you can find a simpler solution!

I used the CSM driver, that fixed my boot resolution.

Untill yesterday my Yosemite DP3 was working fine... but today it stops at APPLEKEXTEXCLUDEDLIST... what could it be? Rebuild Kernel Cache? If so, how can I do it without booting to Yosemite? I have another partition with Mavericks... I'm sending a picture and my boot.plist Can anyone help me? Thank you! Using Chameleon_2.2svn_r2380_10.10_CBv2 My Boot.plist are: DropSSDT Yes EthernetBuiltIn Yes GraphicsEnabler Yes Kernel /System/Library/Kernels/kernel Kernel Flags -v kext-dev-mode=1 Legacy Logo Yes Theme Default Timeout 3 UseKernelCache Yes It's FileNVRAM.dylib.

Here is temporary fix for DP3 nvram.plist. Make sure you have to select install RC script to target partition in Clover installer:sudo defaults write com.apple.loginwindow LogoutHook /private/etc/rc.shutdown.d/80.save_nvram_plist.local Works like a charm, thanks bro :)

Gotcha.  Misunderstood that part.   ASUS haswell simply won't boot a legecy bootloader on GPT be it on the EFI partition or not. also my SSD needs CSM disabled so what good is a legecy bootloader, I use PCIe SSDs. Gotcha :) I definitely wouldn't go through all the trouble just for a stupid Apple logo at boot :)

Well {censored} me running lol after messing with it all afternoon, I finally left it alone for a bit and what happens? I get a notification on my iPhone that my Apple ID and phone number are now being used on my Mac for iMessage. Pull up the Hack and boom! Signed in and activated. WTF LOL (but I'll take it)

I guess I should say thanks for thinking that my HP Envy was a MacBook Pro.  Look at the HP logo in the bottom center of the photo. LOL that is one sexy HP So....  For whatever reason, I cannot get my Yosemite install to sign into iMessage anymore.  I don't know when or why it broke, but it just refuses to let me sign in.  I've tried all the usual workarounds, deleted NetworkConfiguration.plist and removed all my network devices, tried deleted all iMessage related plists to reset the app completely, I'm using EmuVariableUefi-64.efi to save nvram...  I don't know what else to do.  Any suggestions guys?  Would be very grateful.   I also tried resetting my password and I already have a CC attached to my Apple ID.

Yup, it was the kernel cache. I actually just got smart and installed Chameleon on a USB stick, was able to boot up Yosemite in single user mode with it and rebuild kernel cache, now Clover is booting it up just fine.

I'm on mobile, so forgive me if you have them in your signature already, but... Specs? Have you previously installed mavericks on this machine? Are you still looking for the Vanilla AppleTyMCEDriver.kext? If nobody comes through for you, I may be able to post it within an hour. I got it from a friend, thanks though.  I thought I saw a patch here on the thread for it, but I can't seem to locate it now.  But I'm still looking for one; I'd rather patch the kexts than have to try and remove them after each update in the future.  The goal is to not always have a Mavericks/Yosemite dual boot, so it won't always be so easy to get back in and delete after installing updates.
