Setting cpus=1 did it for me.

In Topic: Lion 10.7.2 GeForce GT520

After dropping this for a while, I've come back to it. I'm now running an AMD Phenom II x4 on an ASUS M5A99X EVO motherboard.

Still running the same GPU (GT520), only this time I'm running retail Lion instead of iAtkos. I'm currently downloading the 10.8.2 combo update DMG and will give it a whirl when it's done - will post my results after.

If this fails I'm feeling a little more confident to have a look at a DSDT edit work-around should it be possible.

It's definitely the ports that are the issue. I've hooked up my harddrive to a USB to SATA cable and have been able to boot with:

-v npci=0x2000 GraphicsEnabler=No

Next step of course is to either fix my 3gb/s ports or find a 6gb/s workaround solution - which AFAIK, doesn't exist...

I've come to the conclusion it's the fact that I'm running off of 6gb/s ports.

Unfortunately UEFI just isn't detecting my harddrive when connected to my 3gb/s port - which is obviously not hackintosh related.

I've updated my BIOS firmware to the latest release from ASUS's website, but still the same problem. Anyone got any idea why I'm having this issue?

In Topic: iAtkos L2 installation - laptop turns off

I've just tried reinstalling again without the PS/2 driver, and the laptop shut itself off again.
I then tried again without the laptop battery driver, however with all the other drivers I would select (AppleHDA, AHCI, network drivers) and it shut off yet again.

Seems a little more random?
