OSX ML thinks for some unknown reason (I have correct DSTD) that I have four RAM slots, 3 empty, but my motherboard has only two. If over time I add another RAM stick, wanted dual channel, could this cause problems, would to reinstall again or is it some aestetic nuisance?
Thanks

After 10.8.2 update now doesn't work
26 September 2012 - 08:33 AM
After installing the 10.8.2 update, now stuck at Apple logo. but OSX seems to be up and running as I can ping to it and access to it from the network but I can't see the desktop. Tried the AppleACPIPlatform and removed the AppleHDA kext was created as was mentioned in another thread, no success I tried -x -f -v nothing, I've deleted Nvidia kext nothing.
Thanks

Video issues

In some cases, when I boot ML, the monitor loses signal right after the apple screen, but ML is running fine as the HD light blinks and I can hear sound when I change volume via the keyboard.
In all cases, when this happens, I can briefly see some text after selecting MAC in boot menu. I cannot see it as it goes out too quickly. the text does not appear when ML boots fine.
I have to shutdown the computer and then turn on, then the errors won't appear and ML boots fine to desktop and no issues at all.
Seems that this happens sometime after using Windows, rebooting, and going to ML...
I am using the DP3 nvidia kexts otherwise I get KP.
Thank
