#2094321 Chameleon 2.3svn Official PKG Installer & Binaries

Posted by Bungo on 11 December 2014 - 09:30 PM

Beginning with the Chameleon revision of approximately 2401, the boot loader fails to utilize and load the kernelcache on my secondary partition. The kernelcache itself is NOT at fault as this ssue does not occur with any Chameleon versions prior to 2400. Please advise.Did you experience this:in trunk r2491 same here:in trunk r2510?In my case it was caused by remained files (probably after unsuccesful instalation) in .IABootFiles hidden foder on boot partition: and Chameleon's support that folder in stringTable.c. Simply commented it out fixed a problem temporarily:int loadSystemConfig(config_file_t *config){ char *dirspec[] = { "/Mac OS X Install Data/com.apple.Boot.plist", // OS X Installer (Lion 10.7) "/OS X Install Data/com.apple.Boot.plist", // OS X Installer (10.8+) //"/.IABootFiles/com.apple.Boot.plist", // OS X Installer "/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist", // com.apple.Boot.plist "/com.apple.recovery.boot/com...

I tried your boot file but he is stopping to read /Extra/Acpi/DSDT.amlGoing to try with the DSDT in /Extra/..EDITNo it stuck at reading the DSDT.aml. I've tried also forcing the path: DSDT=/DSDT.aml using a copy of it placed in the root of Yosemite partition. For curiosity, you wrote that the new path for patched ACPI table is /Extra/ACPI capital letters, but if I'm not mistaken must be lowercase --> Extra/Acpi because the ACPICodec module already use it...I'm talking nonsense? EDIT IIThe RecoveryHD use the RAID icon....EDIT IIIcontinuing read the DSDT.aml that I place in the root of yosemite partition w/o specifying the path..   Thanks for testing. Can you Micky1979 share your picture (on stuck) and bdmesg?I can choose Acpi instead of ACPI, no problem. BTW ACPICodec never worked for me correctly, so I decided to improve internal acpi_patcher.

Hi, I confirm that there is no such RAM speed detection issue with Cham r2377 or earlier versions. It's only happening with that temp r2378 you offered me to test and which did fix the CPU detection issue. Here is the DarwinDumper result:DarwinDumper_2.9.0_Chameleon_2.2_X64_ML_admin.zipBack to post #2101. Why don't you use working r2377 with SMoemcputype=1026 in smbios.plist?

Killed all what worked before: iMessage, FaceTime, iCloud, AppStore, audio (doesn't load AppleHDA) For me, AppStore, iCloud, Find My Mac, etc works. iMessage(which is never worked), and Facetime fails to log in. They definitely made something with the authenticate processes.SOLVED! I found a reason. Noticed that no buit-in entry under all devices in IOReg where it there was before update, so I added it in my DSDT under HDEF - sound returned, next added under HDAU - hdmi sound returned and finaly added it under ARPT (my wi-fi device) - iMessage, FaceTime, iCloud and AppStore do work again. Method (_DSM, 4, NotSerialized) { Store (Package (0xXX) { .... "built-in", Buffer (One) // or Buffer (Zero) {} { 0x00...

I finally had some time to update this app.Added: Missing Chameleon options for new features. I think it will be one of the last versions. I don't know what else I could add to this app, and Chameleon's development has stopped. From now on I think I will do mainly bugfixes. What do you think about adding SMBIOS viewer/editor tab?  I satisfy all the conditions but still won't work for me so I had to the SystemId trick. My problem is after a reboot, the SystemId displayed in IOReg did not change. It ends in FF and still FF after a reboot even with the trick. any ideas? thanks This is the contents of my org.chameleon.Boot.plist<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"><plist version="1.0"><dict><key>DSDT</key><string>/Extra/DSDT-orig.aml</string><key>Graphics Mode</key><string>1920x1080x32</string><key>GraphicsEnabler</key><string>Yes</string><key>Kernel Flags</key><string>npci=0x2000</string><key>SMBIOS</key><string>/Extra/SMBios-orig.plist</string><key>Timeout</key><string>5</st...

Chameleon still can't add/patch fields not presented in your original smbios e.g older smbioses (I'm workin on solution), this may be a cause. Chack your original smbios if entries you try to patch are present there.
