In Topic: Dell XPS 15 (9560, Version 2017) compatibility information

24 April 2017 - 03:28 PM

Hi all,

This is my first time doing a hackintosh in many years. I have a 9560 with 4K, Toshiba 512 NVMe SSD. I have managed to use pandora's box to create a bootable USB stick and I am booting into clover and OS X Sierra installer fine.

I have also changed to 4k sectors using Linux and set the BIOS to ACHI instead of RAID.

However, no disks are available to install anything to (apart from the installation media).

I have copied the files from the 9560, 9550 github into the EFI\CLOVER folder on the USB stick and I can see EFI\Clover\kexts\10.12\HackrNVMeFamily-10_12_3.kext.

What am I supposed to do? Bit confused here.

I can see EFI\CLOVER\ACPI\Patched\SSDT-NVMe-Pcc.aml.

Am I supposed to replace it with my ID? \_SB.PCI0.RP09.PXSX

Or is it supposed to work out of the box?

Sounds good. I hope you get sound working - without it it's a no go for me.

Any updates on this? I'm thinking of buying a 9560, with 4k display.

What will/wont work?
