In Topic: Leopard in Chinese?

13 October 2010 - 05:14 AM

Hello Mac users, I am considering installing Leopard on my computer and wondering if OS X supports Chinese? Not only input, but the actual UI as well? So instead of saying "Finder" or "Safari" it will display the chinese alternative?

yes of course, you can set it at "system settings".

In Topic: iWork 09 Just getting Blank Pages

13 October 2010 - 04:54 AM

Just installed the retail version of iWork 09 and everything seems to have gone fine but, when I open "Pages" and look in the template chooser I can clearly see all the templates but if I open one all I get is a blank page. this happens in "Numbers" and "Keynote" also. I have deleted and re-installed it but it's the same. If i click the "outline" button I do see the template for a split second and then back to the blank page. The templates are obviously loading I just can't see them.

I''m running Flash OSX Leopard 10.5.6 for Pen drive (installed to a 80Gb usb drive)
Intel E2180 dual core
4Gb Ram
MSI Neo 2 P35 Motherboard
ATI 4850 Graphics (not supported but getting 1680x1050x32 anyway using "graphics mode" at start up)
Just about everything works fine apart from apps that require a quartz extreme compatible graphics card.

So, anyone else have the same problem? Could it be specific to my install of OS X ?

Thanks in advance.

normally, when you choose a temp and open it, the application will show only 1page(maybe, it's blank), and if you want to more this kind of the temp, you need to click the "add page" icon at the tool bar, in that list you can find all you choosen temps.

In Topic: Is it worth buying the new iPod Touch now?

13 October 2010 - 02:41 AM

I've got the 2nd generation and the battery has really wasted away now and it is really quite slow.

Will it go down in price quick? Could I buy a second hand one?

I hope the new one has more ram for more caching of webpages etc. It also has the app switcher which i most want.

what's your mian using of it?? music?? games?? or connection??, I think the 2nd Gen is enough.

In Topic: iOS 4 Battery Problems

be sure to close the background apps when you want to put your phone in stand-up mode!!!Posted Image

the 2nd Gen iTouch does not support the background apps.

Hey guys - just looking for suggestions here. I've got an iPod Touch 2nd Gen. About a week ago I decided to upgrade it up to iOS 4. Just like my original upgrade to 3, it wasn't a smooth process. After the regular update screwed up my device (failed and it would only come back up in restore mode), I had to do a complete restore on it. Not sure why both have failed - it's stock setup. No jailbreaks or anything.

Anyways, after a restore I have my iPod up and going again, but the battery is draining FAST now. Used to be that if I left it on the home screen without playing music or the like it would go for days at a time with the battery just fine. I picked it up yesterday (Monday) morning, having charged it up Friday evening and having not used it, and the battery was down near 15%. Used it yesterday, but charged it back to full again, and when I pick it up this morning it's drained down to about 60-70% overnight just sitting there.

I know some people have said that the new multitasking features are doing this, but AFAIK the iTouch 2nd gen doesn't even support those features. Anybody have any ideas?

I have the same issue with you on this 2nd Gen iTouch, maybe we should turn-off the wifi when it sleep.

Useful Files

This is a compilation of many different files available in postings on the board. It is not exhaustive. If you don't find what you want, search for it.

Please do not post questions in this thread looking for a solution that is not listed. Use other threads for that. You may find that if you do post questions, moderators of the board will remove them based on the request not to post them.

Please do post other good, known files in this thread. I will try to incorporate any posted files into the list. Otherwise, users can read the thread for any other listed files.

Note: I did not download and verify each and every file. You may find that the link to the file is broken or the file has been taken down either by the poster or by the board administration. Post broken links and I will see if anything can be done to fix them.
