Need Help with Snow Leopard and Lion installation
My System dell precision 690
Specifications are as follow
Motherboard is 5000x intel chipset
2x dual core xeon processors @3.20 hrz
500 gb harddrive (for OS X installation)
PNY Technologies NVIDIA GeForce GT 240 with 512 mb GDDR5 SDRAM
Before this video card I had a HD 4870 which I remove cause I thougt that it was the video card that wasn't compatible.

Problem is I am able to boot the snow leopard retail DVD with ##### legacy
after going through the whole installation everything since Ok but once I update to the 10.6.8 combo update and run ##### in ##### and system utilities, and try to reboot, once I get to the boot loader and hit enter the computer will start rebooting, every time I tried It will do the same thing. if I tried ##### legacy Or Nawcom's boot CD it will start booting but Get stuck at PCi configuration, with the CD I have tried -v,-x, PcirootUID=1 and It will get stuck at the same place

Help please anybody has a guide how to make the installation work or have any idea what am I doing wrong
