My Brother is trying to install iAtkos L1 so I can use it to get a USB boot on my PC. However, we can't get it to work on his laptop. When it boots, it goes to the "Press any Key, or press F8". However, the keyboard won't work whatsoever, even the caps locks doesn't turn on or off. Any suggestions? The usb ports don't work either, as both his USB keyboard and Mouse are not functional whatsoever, but recieve power. Here's the specs:

i3 2310M

6 GB 1333Mhz RAM

750 GB HDD

Intel HD 2000 Graphics.

First Time Noob, OSX86 Installation Via USB

05 November 2011 - 04:48 PM

This is my first time trying to sucessfully install OSX86 (I downloaded IAtkos a couple of years ago and it didn't work, got the ACPI error) on my old Celeron PC. I took a look at the #####, but its for systems taht already have OSX installed. Here are my Specs:

i5 2500K

8 GB DDR3 1333MHZ

Powercolor 6770, Overclocked

320 GB Hard Drive, 150 GB free

15" Dell LCD monitor from 13 years ago

520 Watt PSU

I have an 8GB SD card, and a 4 GB USB drive, I don't have an optical drive, as I thought it would be useless.

Things you might want to know:

-I don't have any Macs in the house, nor any other Apple products (My Nano broke, won't boot, stupic piece of junk)

- Huge Ubuntu fan, would have used it if it supported WPA2 on my wireless internet. So now I am using ICS on Windows 7.

- I have an UEFI bios, with protection that can recover if the bios is wiped out.

So, how do I go about installing OSX86 on my PC via USB?

What Distro should I use?

Should/Can I use VMware or Virtualbox instead?

How do I go about installing?

How much HDD space is required?

Thanks guys!
