i used DSDTSE to patch my DSDT, and the only PCI slot i used is for graphic card. i edited manually my DSDT, so it was created by me and not copied from dsdt database, therefore it's not a problem with being tailored for another system. if i knew a way to log the things that come out at boot, maybe i could see something i had not noticed before, any ideas on how to do it?

P4 is not into supported processor list, you might want to use a distro to get some results. I'd reccomend leopard tho, better intel support.

you'll need a cable extender because original cables won't be long enough.
you'll need a drill, a saw to cut the metal backplate, and a soldering iron to use the original power on button.
a normal DVD burner won't fit, so be aware you'll have to find a slim one.
if you're still interested in doing it, post your results! if i was aware of the amount of time i had to spend on it i dunno if i would have started, but i can guarantee that the finished job looks great.
