Hey I've reinstalled Mac OS X on my netbook and now my fans sound like helicopters. The fans run fine on the mac OS X install USB but go crazy after everything is in place. Is anyone else running into this issue and/or have a possible solution?

Hi I am having trouble with your kext and injecting the properties into my DSDT on my Asus 1201N. The SB scope ones work fine but when I try to inject the other properties under _DSM in IGPU I can't compile a DSDT.aml. Do I have the properties in the wrong location? I knew they went there in the previous kext version but your instructions on this post are vague to me.

nope :/

Just buy a cheap bluetooth or line in mic if you need ichat and facetime badly. Otherwise just use skype or google talk.

I'm also getting some really slow recharge times and my fan seems loud still. Am I missing something, I'm using the 4.0 Extra file?

Hi All,

have somebody a little time to write a "How to" update for 10.6.8 ?
I use my 1201NL and 1201N, and I dont want to brick them all.
I use now 10.6.7 with 32 Bits everything work except BIOS resetting every time (Restart, Shutdown)

Just a Step by Step description, I think it would be helpful for a lot of members.

(Maybe Lion... ? )

Thanks in advance.

I'm gonna second this, since 10.6.8 is most likely the last version of Snow Leopard it'd be nice to have our guides in order with it. I use my 1201N daily and don't have the patience or time to risk bricking it.

I personally think the 1201N is weak enough with SL and I think Lion would be too much. As well some Lion reviews were rotten and I want Rosetta support (StarCraft 1).

Ok I found the problem with iChat and Facetime
Garageband and Skype which both work, in their plist files identify the microphone as:
"Built-In Microphone" or some text variation
Facetime and iChat (both don't work) identifies the mic by the driver:

It would seem that this number isn't correct (it's the same when I reload the plist). Could someone help me identify the correct code for the microphone.
