New Hack With a GA-Z77-HD4 ?

12 April 2013 - 06:19 PM

My brother is trying to mount his first Hack, and I thought I'd give my motherboard to him, a GA-H67M-D2-B3.

So I need to buy another one for me, I do not want to spend a lot, and I thought this here GA-Z77-HD4 (rev. 1.0) http://www.gigabyte....spx?pid=4407#sp

Does anyone here know if this motherboard is a good choice for a new Hack? There are 4 memory slots on it, that attracts me...

Last thing, 3D BIOS (Dual UEFI) ... what would be the advantage? I will not need a DSDT, that's it!?

I thank anyone who can help me!

Kernel Panic With EIST FUNCTION Enabled (i7 2600)

08 April 2013 - 05:39 PM

Greetings to all!

Recently I changed my processor for an i7-2600 (Sandy Bridge). I'm using an SSDT generated by Revogirl SSDT Script, but if I leave, in my mobo, EIST FUNCTION enabled it gives me a Kernel Panic. Anyone else have this kind of situation? If, yes, how can I fix that? Maybe a bad SSDT that I'm using?

With my old CPU, an i5-2500, it was not necessary, I mean, EIST FUNCTION was always enabled.

The question is, leaving EIST FUNCTION disabled on the motherboard, I'm endangering the life of my i7 2600 or some component else?

Specifications from my Hack are in my signature.

Thank you!!!
