i7 new install

Hello,



Is tonymac [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] absolutely necessary for a gigabyte GA-X58-USB3 i7 cpu when doing OS update?

I understand that for the original install i will have to use 3rd party software, but once it is working, can i not use the Apple Software Update now that they technically support the i7 in their machine?

If not. is there a motherboard that would be as compatible as my EP45-UD3P where, i only apply the software update, reboot and voila, working fully, no edit, nothing to do.
