#2132191 Decompiled MS IrDA drivers

Posted by Marchrius on 30 April 2015 - 09:52 AM

Hi Andy! I'm reading your posts "IOUSBFamily" and this. I'm thinking, there is a way to build a driver to make work a Winbond Consumer Infrared Receiver ? I have an IrDA and a section in my native DSDT like this:Device (CIR) { Method (_HID, 0, NotSerialized) // _HID: Hardware ID { If (LLess (OSYS, 0x07D6)) { Return (0x2310A35C) } Else { Return (0x2010A35C) } } OperationRegion (WBIO, SystemIO, 0x2E, 0x02) Field (WBIO, ByteAcc, NoLock, Preserve) { INDX, 8, DATA, 8 } Mutex (WBMX, 0x00) IndexField (INDX, DATA, ByteAcc, NoLock, Preserve)...

#2128290 Enable TRIM on non-Apple SSD

Posted by Marchrius on 15 April 2015 - 06:27 PM

Hi Guys, I just installed 10.10.3 via Chamelon and did the Patch using method 2. Unfortunately I ended up with "Mac Kernel overflows available space. System halted" during bootup. I managed to boot using "ignore caches" and (hopefelly) restored the orignal file via those 3 commands 1sudo cp /System/Library/Extensions/IOAHCIFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns/IOAHCIBlockStorage.kext/Contents/MacOS/IOAHCIBlockStorage.bak  /System/Library/Extensions/IOAHCIFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns/IOAHCIBlockStorage.kext/Contents/MacOS/IOAHCIBlockStorage2sudo touch /System/Library/Extensions  3sudo kextcache -prelinked-kernel /System/Library/Caches/com.apple.kext.caches/Startup/kernelcache -K /System/Library/Kernels/kernel /System/Library/Extensions However, I still can't boot without the Kernel overflow error. Any idea on how to fix that? Thanks You can use the application in Download section.

#2084253 Enable TRIM on non-Apple SSD

Okay i found that the kext does exist but it still won't enable and changes to what i wrote before. I was doing this through clover configurator. When I open the plist directly without clover configurator it says this: <key>KextsToPatch</key><array><dict><key>Comment</key><string>TRIM Enabler</string><key>Find</key><data>rg8AAAAAAAo=</data><key>Name</key><string>IOAHCIBlockStorage</string><key>Replace</key><data>qqqqqqqqqgo=</data></dict> Is this my problem? Should I just change it here manually? If so, any idea why clover configurator is changing it like it is? If you want to use Clover Configurator you must put the value as Data. You have entered it as base64 string. The third methos shows you how to put the patch directly in config.plist without use of clover configurator. So, if you want...

Hi, Firstly i used trim enabler without success at first reboot. It wrotes kext dev in nvram but get stucked at reboot : pci configuration be... Then i used your clover method. I experienced some boots stucked at pci configuration be.. now it is gone, but i still don't explain it. Is there a relation when you alter the kext and pci configuration begin?I think the problem was the kernelcache. Trim enabler is for real mac, on hackintosh you fan have some problem.

screen1png.png Tried 3'rd method and no trim. I'm on Yosemite 10.10 (14A389) and clover 2953Wrong place to pur the code. Must go under kextpatches With Trim Enabler app, when I click on proceed, the program should be disable the Kext-signing, then reboot and give me the possibility to enable Trim, but when system reboot and open again Trim Enabler app, I can't enable Trim! I've also tried with kext-develop args on clover boot, but nothing happens. :(Trim enabler isn't supported by Yosemite. Use the third metodo at first post if you have Clover.

Grazie in anticipo ;)Non suo se è già presente in qualche post precedente ma al momento questo è il pacchetto più aggiornato, nel pomeriggio posso metterti i file che sto utilizzando al momento. I put the third method in the config.plist for Clover on my USB drive witch is going to install Yosemite Beta on my SSD. I can see that TRIM is enabled via the System Information. I'll tell you later if it still the case after the installation. Thanks for your methods. It should work with the next betas and the final release. If not let me know [emoji1]

what is right way to rebuild kernelcache from Single user mode ? because my yosemite reboot after verbos done loading and i get white screen then it reboot ,,, any suggestions ?   EDIT : it booted after  20 times reboot,  :( The best way to manually recreate the kernelcache is this (IMHO) :sudo kextcache -prelinked-kernel /System/Library/Caches/com.apple.kext.caches/Startup/kernelcache -K /System/Library/Kernels/kernel /System/Library/ExtensionsIf your kernel and/or your Extensions folder are in a different path you must change it. With this command you can produce a kernelcache for your (if you have one) personalized kernel (like atom, amd kernels). For the vanilla one you can use the command above. Remember, you must boot Yosemite with kext-dev-mode=1 if you want to use the command. In Mavericks you can recreate the kernel of another OS with the correct paths. e.g. from Mavericks I want to create kernelcache in Yosemite:sudo k...

Hey ! How about TRIM support? Have anyone managed to activate it yet? The new TRIM patch issudo perl -pi -e 's|\x00\x41\x50\x50\x4c\x45\x20\x53\x53\x44\x00|\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00|' /System/Library/Extensions/IOAHCIFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns/IOAHCIBlockStorage.kext/Contents/MacOS/IOAHCIBlockStorage && sudo touch /System/Library/Extensionsthen reboot and voilà, the TRIM is enabled.

#2026080 [UPDATE][Guida] Installazione OS X 10.10 Yosemite

Posted by Marchrius on 06 June 2014 - 08:22 AM
