#2040501 OS X Yosemite DP's builds!

Posted by Marchrius on 14 July 2014 - 02:35 PM

what is right way to rebuild kernelcache from Single user mode ? because my yosemite reboot after verbos done loading and i get white screen then it reboot ,,, any suggestions ?   EDIT : it booted after  20 times reboot,  :( The best way to manually recreate the kernelcache is this (IMHO) :sudo kextcache -prelinked-kernel /System/Library/Caches/com.apple.kext.caches/Startup/kernelcache -K /System/Library/Kernels/kernel /System/Library/ExtensionsIf your kernel and/or your Extensions folder are in a different path you must change it. With this command you can produce a kernelcache for your (if you have one) personalized kernel (like atom, amd kernels). For the vanilla one you can use the command above. Remember, you must boot Yosemite with kext-dev-mode=1 if you want to use the command. In Mavericks you can recreate the kernel of another OS with the correct paths. e.g. from Mavericks I want to create kernelcache in Yosemite:sudo k...

Hey ! How about TRIM support? Have anyone managed to activate it yet? The new TRIM patch issudo perl -pi -e 's|\x00\x41\x50\x50\x4c\x45\x20\x53\x53\x44\x00|\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00|' /System/Library/Extensions/IOAHCIFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns/IOAHCIBlockStorage.kext/Contents/MacOS/IOAHCIBlockStorage && sudo touch /System/Library/Extensionsthen reboot and voilà, the TRIM is enabled.

#2025739 Enable TRIM on non-Apple SSD

Posted by Marchrius on 05 June 2014 - 05:39 PM

Update x1: Reported that works also in DP2. Hi guys!   This is the IOAHCIFamily from Yosemite 10.10 patched to work with all SSD.     Download section http://www.insanelym...im-on-1010-dp1/   Some user have trouble after copying the kext.   In toto there is 3 method to enable TRIM (use only one):   1st MethodCopy the kext, delete kernel cache in /System/Library/Caches/com.apple.kext.cache/Startup/ and launch the following command in terminal:sudo touch /System/Library/Extensions && sudo kextcache -prelinked-kernel /System/Library/Caches/com.apple.kext.cache/Startup/kernelcache -K /System/Library/Kernels/kernel /System/Library/ExtensionsThen reboot normally. 2nd Method Launch this in terminal (are 4 commands):sudo cp /System/Library/Extensions/IOAHCIFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns/IOAHCIBlockStorage.kext/Contents/MacOS/IOAHCIBlockStorage /System/Library/Extensions/IOAHCIFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns/IOAHCIBlockStorage.kext/Contents/MacOS/...

Here's what I've been trying to do:I can't do anything in the single user mode of 10.10 because the PS2 keyboard drivers are not being loaded and I have no USB keyboard available right now, so I'm trying to generate kernelcache for 10.10 whilst on my 10.9 system, using the instructions you have written. But, as said before, it omits FakeSMC and VoodooPS2Controller kexts due to lack of proper signing apparently (I use RehabMan's FakeSMC fork for ProBooks).Send me the kexts in pm. I'll try to make it for you. (it requires at least ~50 MB so you must wait some minutes)

I think that the best way to rebuild kernelcache is:kextcache -prelinked-kernel /System/Library/Caches/com.apple.kext.cache/Startup/kernelcache -K /path/to/kernel /System/Library/Extensions

This is an alternative guide to install Yosemite. All this steps must be run on Mavericks/Mountain Lion 1. Restore the BaseSystem.dmg in a USB device.2. Delete the Packages link in /Volumes/USB/System/Installation/3. Eject, from Disk Utility, OS X BaseSystem4. Rename, as a simple directory, your usb from "OS X BaseSystem" to "Install"5. Copy Packages directory from /Volumes/OS X Install ESD/Packages in /Volumes/Install/System/Installation/6. Copy, with " cp -rp /Volumes/OS\ X\ Install\ ESD/BaseSystem.*     /Volumes/Install/ "7. Eject, from Disk Utility, OS X Install ESD.8. Copy the FakeSMC.kext and other kext you need. (Start with very needed kexts!)9. Delete /Volumes/Install/System/Library/Caches/com.apple.kext.caches/Startup/kernelcache10. Download this -> kernel ( is the kernel of OS X 10.10 ) <- and extract it on Desktop (this is required)11. Run, from terminal, this command:sudo kextcache -prelinked-kernel /Volumes/Install/System/Library/Caches/c...

#2006352 Patch Assistente Boot Camp

Posted by Marchrius on 21 March 2014 - 08:40 PM
