yes I understand the difference. And the points you bring up are trivial, as you are basically asking me to define "bad" and "good".
the chemicals in weed have not been shown to cause permanent damage to the human body. However, the chemicals in crack, LSD, Meth, etc can do significant damage to your body (including your brain). "drugs are bad for you":
drugs being illegal drugs taken to get high, taken in excess. I am using the popular definition, as opposed to the biological one. "bad" meaning they cause damage. They are bad for you because of the chemicals in them. Would you like me to define "damage" as well?
I can't even be arsed carrying n talking to you, its pointless, every sentence you said sounds like it was constructed by an eight year old and you contradict yourself with every line. I'll stick to my drugs thanks so I don't end up like you.
First of all, I know this isn't related to Macs or technology for that matter, but it's still quite funny. It seems that Italy has actually legalized music sharing. Now, any music that is not lossless quality can be legally shared across any P2P network. The Italian government said that it is for scientific or educational purposes, but it will make suing people who shared illegal music harder.
When you type -v, where does it get stuck at? If you get stuck at "Still waiting for root device", that means it can't find your hard drives and/or dvd drives, probably because it doesn't recognize the Jmicron and SATA controllers.
The reason I suggested your DVD might be bad is because I got a bad Kalyway DVD at first, which didn't have the proper kexts for those controllers. I managed to get it to the install screen once, which had a Tiger skin, even though it said "Welcome to Leopard Installation", so clearly there was something odd with it (the proper DVD should have the Leopard skin at installation)
The right Kalyway DVD should be around 3.45gb before extracting, and the image will be just over 4gb after extracting, and it shouldn't give you any problems booting up with a P5K motherboard. The sound card and modem shouldn't prevent it from booting, they just might not work.
I have a P5k, Kalyway installed fine, but wouldn't boot until I unplugged my USB bluetooth dongle, after removing that on first boot, it was fine.
Try removing all non essential hardware and doing the most basic install.
