Thanks man. Thermal paste is pretty fresh and PRAM reset doesn`t helped. I was already lost any hope to fix it by myself but I decided to do a final strike :) I`ve just disassembled macbook, clean the motherboard, assembled it and OMG... it works fine so far.

Great :)

In Topic: How to install a USB3.0 express card on Mac Pro

16 April 2014 - 06:00 AM

To install in the Mac Pro:
1) Unplug the computer and touch something metal to ground yourself.

2) Unlock the case and take off the side door.

3) Lay the computer down.
4) There are 2 spring-loaded finger screws covering the available PCIe slots. Remove the 2 screws and take off the lock holding down the open PCIe cards.
5) Insert the USB card into an available PCIe slot (I used slot 3, for example). Make sure it's nice and snug in the PCIe slot
6) Take one end of the SATA "Y-Connector", the side that has the "Y" with 2 of the same connector, and plug one of those into the Inateck card.
7) Take the other end of the SATA connector, the side that you cut the plastic off, and connect it to an available SATA POWER port in your Mac Pro (available hard-drive bay).
8) Put the PCIe cover back up using the spring-loaded finger screws.
9) Close up your computer
10) Power on and Enjoy.

By the way, I highly recommend a new Inateck card for Mac Pro, which dosen't need additional power connection.

Problems with the Inateck card, when you sleep and wake up the computer it will disconnect the drive. And it also interferes with Bluetooth devices.

I would suggest to replace the thermal paste and then do a pram reset.

In Topic: Mac Mini or iMac? Help, Please.

Hello,

You would be fine with a Mac Mini with Core i5. You can stream 1080p, however I am not sure of the graphic/web design work. Are you going to use Adobe Suites. If yes, then you should better get an iMac with Nvidia. My friend actually have a 2012 Core i5 Mac Mini, use it for Plex streaming and for editing family movies. It works great, I have added 1 ssd and 1 additional HDD inside for storage for him. It is connected to a 42" monitor (living room setup) and it works fine for Garageband as well.

Hello,

Try this.

1. Shut down your computer

2. Change the USB port, connect it to another USB port

3. Make sure you have only 1 HDD drive and the USB Stick

4. Boot and see how it goes

Also, please post your system spec and OS (if any)
