i can't seem to get mine to work i get panic(cpu 0 caller 0x004358f3): unable to find the driver for this platform: \acpi\".\n"@/voodookernel/xnu-1228.7.58/iokit/kernel/IOPlatformExpert.cpp:1411 what ever options i choose. anyone know what could be causing this. i got the d620 with nvidia card

any suggestions on what im doing wrong?

• Boot IDeneb 10.5.6 DVD:
• Drivers: selected NVkush for Nvidia Quadro 110M), Intel ICHx SATA Drivers, Sigmatel 9200 Sound.
• Fixes: Shutdown/Restart Fix, Seatbelt.kext, IOPCMCIAFamily, AppleSMBIOS-27 Rev3 667mhz, PS/2 Device Support, Dual CPU Fix, Powermanagement Bundle.
• Applications: I installed all the Apps on the iDeneb disk.
• Kernel: Voodoo Kernel

This worked for me, however if your DELL is Intel it could change things quite a bit.

when i do a uname -a it shows

i tried this fix but still can't use dmg files it crashes with the must reboot the computer

im using 10.5.6 ideneb

any tell me what options im suppose to check i have iatko 5i on dvd and it installs with but just keeps rebooting. am i missing something im suppose to be installing with it. i know on my laptop i had to select some option in the custom install but couldn't find anything special to do with this desktop. any bios options that i should be checking. It is a opti 620 1 sata HD and 2 PATA cd roms. it boots and then just keeps rebooting. never gets to the os im not seeing any errors if i use -v, only gets through like 5 lines of text then it reboots. any help would be great.

does anybody tried HDMI, eSata, Firewire, XpressCard, SDMemory's reader, modem, ethernet?

which distro do you guys suggest
