In Topic: GMA950 id2772 working on it

I got a x60 with gma950 installed under /s/l/e, the internal monitor works well but only with 1024 * 768, anyway that's the max resolution I can get for this laptop screen.

it also works with external aoc210v monitor with resolution of 1680*1050,
but I can't find a clue if QE/CI works.

you can check if it runs if 1) your menu bar on top is transparent, and 2)if you go to system profile and check the graphics section. it should state that you have QE support and CI = hardware accelerated

by the way, are you having problems with the shutdown? mine isn't completely powering off

shuttle x50

2. anyone with a gma950 with a non working laptop display only an external display works should jump on this forum and post what ever info they have (work together to figure this out)

1.ok so i get full res the whole thing except i have to use an external monitor it doesn't recognize the internal one when it starts up its just a bule screen help

video of what works so far (just uploaded the vid may take some time to show up)

side-note the wallpaper sometimes doesn't show up hmmmmm

00:02.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: Intel Corporation 82945G/GZ Integrated Graphics Controller [8086:2772] (rev 02)

mac osx version-10.5.8

full res the whole thing with dsdt patch (dr hurts patch)

monitor detection with out it (may have to mod the original kexts)

please hit me up on aim or pm me (tsm1248) so we can get the ball rolling for the gma950s ID 2772

this is what im thinking

1. display override (what ever the thing is for recognizing the monitors)
2 patch the dsdt for gma950 using dr hurts patch full support plus monitor support
3 enjoy

now we just need to figure how to combine the 2 huhuhuh

i got the internal monitor working using the msi wind gma950 driver pack. QE/CI works but i dunno if the native resolution is suppose to be 1024x728. That's the only option i have. Have you tried installing 10.6 Retail yet?

-The LAN works out of the box.
-The WAN is Ralink RT2860. For some reason, it picked it up as LAN.
-I got the a resolution of 1024x728 with QE/CI working using the Wind MSI gma950 drivers.
-Webcam not working out of the box
-Sound is working with hdaenabler and alc662 kexts.
-Touchscreen is working after installation of kexts found on manufacturer's website
-Shutdown isnt working properly lol

But i'm happy it boots up :D now i just need to know if i can get other resolutions

i actually was going to try that, but i went with the full retail dvd package with ilife and iwork. i thought it would be much simpler to start fresh with 10.6 than 10.5 then upgrade to 10.6
