#2371425 X99-UD5-WIFI USB3 all working

Posted by Edkroket on 22 February 2017 - 08:42 PM

Hi, I was struggling to get all my USB-3 ports running on the right speed and get rid of the portlimit patch. Now I have it perfectly working and running on 10.12.3. In my attachment I have the kext files, clover config files en SSDT for USB and the BIOS settings for F23C.Remove any previous versions of USB injectors and SSDT files. Install the kext in S/L/EUse my config file for DSDT edits for EHCI and XHCUse the BIOS settings as in my screenshotsAnd you should be good to go. No need for port limit patch and waste unused ports and power.Big thanks and credit goes to RehabMan. He made the kext and how-to.I just did the job on my system. I was thinking to share this because I know you are never alone with an issue. :-) Ed Attached Files  X99-UD5-WIFI-F23C.zip 8.14MB 7 downloads

Were you able to test this yet?Yes finally I have the patient and time to test the kext from 10.9.5I can tell you I'm on 10.10.5 now on my 8-core and have thunderbolt and firewire working!I've made these kext legacy with the Make me Legacy App.:AppleACPIPlatform.kextAppleMCP89RootPortPM.kextAll AppleThunderbolt......kextIOFireWireFamily.kextIONetworkingFamily.kextIOPCIFamily.kextIOPlatformPluginFamily.kextIOThunderboltFamily.kext and installed them with Kext helper b7repaired caches_rebuild.command and had no more dependencies issues and rebooted.FireWire and Thunderbolt are working as they should.I mean as far as I can test this with my TB to Ethernet adapter from Apple of course. But I know when that part works the rest will be just fine! Thank you all again for pointing me in the right direction! Ed

#2162211 shutdown troubles - reboots instead

Posted by Edkroket on 20 August 2015 - 09:34 PM

Sorry I'm lying, maybe you cannot get rid of this bug,in fact I use ACPI Patcher to patch DSDT get rid of black screen and shutdown troubles - reboots instead.Well it seems that changing SMBios from iMac 14,2 to MacPro 3,1 solved my problem. I don't understand why but it works just fine.So I use Clover and no DSDT at all.

I have solved it! It seems that I had to have Generic USB kext and also run CPU at higher stock-rate.Running at 4.0 now with the kext and movie plays as smooth as butter.!Thank you all!

#2146719 shutdown troubles - reboots instead

Posted by Edkroket on 20 June 2015 - 02:40 PM

Hi, i have yosemite on a intel DG965WH and i have the same problem but instead of shutting down the screen goes blank forever. None of the qlover fixes affect the shutdown issue... My graphics card is a nvidia gforce 9800gt running with nvenabler. Any chance this is caused by the kext?It has to be a bug in Clover. I have the same problem with Z97-D3H. No matter what I trie it just reboots instead of shutting down.I use Chameleon for that mobo. I wished it has been solved already. So If you or anyone else have a solution with Clover.... Let us know.

The only board that I have tested that still needs a solution is the Asus x99 E-WS. I have tested your board and it worked fine for me and many other users. I agree with this statement. Up and running here since Bios F9e

Delete any realtek.kext in your clover/kext/10.10 folder Delete the AppleHDA in S/L/E and replace it with the one in this zip.Repair permissions using Disk UtilityRebuild cache using the included commandReplace the config.plist in clover with the included one.Reboot 100% working on my 5820k/X99-UD4 F9 BIOS with both 10.10 and 10.10.1If it still doesn't work [or if you installed Voodoo audio] reformat the entire OS and reinstall from scratch. Yes thank you! Finally it works like it should.!Pfffff what a hassle was this to get Audio working. Never had this much trouble but it works like a charm. I'm not sure what is wrong with Toleda's method but something is.Will let him know as I have tried both of your method's.Thanks again. Now I can and will Update to 10.01. No problem!Cheers! #2085668 Haswell-E mach_kernel patch (5960X, 5830K and 5820K) 10.10 - 10.10.1 Yosemite

Wrong. Never use a boot loader to load or modify kexts as you never know when something can change. This is bad practice and should not be done. Kexts belong in SLE and LE  as per Apple Specification. That's a bit strange to hear from you Rampage Dev!The benefit of Clover is that you can have these patches and survive updates. I can tell you that I use this patch already since 10.8And if something changes in any kext than I would notice and make a fix for that. Until now Apple RTC and TRIM-patch has always work without any worries. With my X99 system I also have a clean install and all kext needed like FakeSMC, VoodooTCS  RTL are all in /EFI/kext/10.10Sorry I have to disagree for this one. I love your work and contribution that does not change. :-)

#2085041 Reboot at shutdown Z97M-DS3H Yosemite.

Posted by Edkroket on 14 November 2014 - 05:48 AM

Hi all, I have a very nice and fast working Hackintosh on Z97M-DS3H with i7 4790 and GTX 660.I have a patched DSDT and use Clover as bootloader. My problem is that it won't shut off. Instead it just reboots. I've tried all settings in Clover to get rid of it. Have tried different shutdown fixes in DSDT. Have used EvoReboot.kext and so on.I don't want to use Chameleon because Clover has more capabilities for me. Is any one facing this problem? If so did anyone has an fix? After 3 days of trying I'm about to give up and move over to Chameleon

fixed You don't need EmuVariable. To fix generic download the AHCIPortInjector.kext.zip in the first post. You also need to add GenericUSBXHCI.kext for USB 3.0 support. For audio you need to disable NewWay in Clover. (I've attached a copy of my working X99-UD4 clover config in the zip file below.aAYou'll probabaly want nullpower as well.  To get iMessage working type click MacPro 6,1 in the Clover Configurator Wizard and generate a new serial number, then mix it up a bit by changing production dates. Next type uuidgen in terminal twice for two different uuids. Put one under custom UUID and the other under SmUUID. Lastly take your serial number and add extra alphanumeric digits to reach 17 digits then use that for your board serial number.     Board: GA-X99-UD4 Bios: F9e Status: AUDIO WORKING! Files:  HDAenabler.kext used (from stinga11's link) AppleHDA.kext "pre script" installed into S/L/E (from onmybikedr...
