STLVNUB is correct. After checking my boot Chameloen is not using UEFI. I will be switching over to Clover. Thanks for showing where to look. coolchris get a nVidia card & you will be suprised at this motherboard will do. I have had problems with Intel graphics except for the GMA 950 that is on my Atom motherboard (have Lion installed, wish I could get ML installed). My hack has been up and running since Sept. and it is rock solid.

Compuforce From what I can see everything will work but your video. Most nVidia will work out of the box. Just get the GT 640, plug it in and go. STLVNUB You can use Chameleon with UEFI. There is no set up or anything. Also Mac OS seems to run better with UEFI. Compuforce If you need to know the BIOS settings for the Z77-DS3H email me and I will email screen shot back of the BIOS setting. Plan on reworking this post to include the setting. If you need help email or PM me.

#1613248 Installing Snow Leopard On A Dell Precision 490

Posted by cbushjr56 on 02 January 2011 - 08:26 PM

I decided to write this guide for the Dell 490 to try and help others get their 490 running. I have a put together a zip file that contains a 490Boot.iso, a Dell Precision 490 patched DSDT.aml file, a smbios.kext file and some extras all in one place so you do not have to hunt all over the internet to find them. The specs of my 490 is as follows: 2x Xeon 5150 2.66GHz processors (shows in System Profiler as Dual-Core Xeons) 4GB RAM (plan to upgrade to 16GB later) Gigabyte nVidia GeForce 8400GS (you will need to edit com.apple.Boot.plist if you have a different card) STAC9200 on board audio (audio out works with VoodooHDA.kext) Rosewill RC-400 Gigabit network card 250GB Western Digital SATA Windows drive 160GB Western Digital SATA Ubuntu Linux drive 400GB Western Digital SATA Mac OS X 10.6.5 drive The DSDT.aml has already been patched for the SATA, HPET & RTC issues. The smbios.kext will need to be edited with info to match your 490, such as cpu speed, memory & serial n...
