Ok, I'm not {censored}, I'm driving saab 9k Aero and bmw e90, I drink whiskey right now and that is my favorite alko-drink. :D So, it looks that Macbook white is not for me. :D I'll keep my d620! But.. I hope one day somebody will get sleep working on d620/SL. I can't live without it. I want to wake up, open my notebook's lid and start using it. I don't want to wait until OS and all my programms boots up. And I still want multi-touch touchpad. Ok, I will try to change it - my friend want to sell his d630, so I can change touchpads before he does it. Btw - yesterday I updated to 10.6.2 with downloaded combo update and everything looks fine.

Great.. I found out how to get my Airport working. Actually there was not problem at all - except the one that I had my broadcom wifi card in wrong mini-pci port. :D There are two ports inside my d620 - one with title "wwan" on it and another with "wlan". And broadcom wifi card don't work in "wwan" port. :D So, everything is ok with Airport now. Now I will try to update to 10.6.2. Wish me luck. :)

O, I had a question about d620 touchpad. It doesn't understand multi touch, am I right? But I heard, that touchpad from d630 supports that feature. So, the question is - does anyone tried to change the touchpad, put one from d630 in some d620? I can't figure out, how to get them out..

Yesterday one friend of mine offer my an exchange - my d620 vs his macbook white. Technical parameters are +- same, except that I have nvidia video, but he has intel card. But ok, that is real Mac, not a hackintosh anymore. :D And then I started to think - what is that what I need from my Dell for full happiness.. One of the things is multi touch touchpad, I want to scroll with two fingers and go back/forward with three fingers. Etc. And Mac's touchpad works better than Dell's. About display - Dell has larger resolution, but Mac has brighter colors.. So.. I don't know what to do. :D My friend need windows 7 for work and he has problems with it on macbook. So, he wants to change... Hmm. Yes or no, that is the question. :)

Yeah, Snow Leopard is up and running! :) I booted up from original SL retail disc and everything went fine. First time I forgot to erase disc and was installing SL over old Leopard. Install was ok, but after it SL didn't start. Then erased partition, install again - and whoalaa, I have SL! :)

But not everything is so great... :( Airport don't work. I have Broadcom card inside of my D620, Intel card is removed. This card worked fine with 10.5.6 and 10.5.7, but had problems after I updated to 10.5.8. And in SL there is the same problem - can't get Airport On. When I open System Profiler, I see my "en0: Third-Party Wireless card" under Network/Airport. Tried to remove Airport from Network Preferences and then add it - no changes.

Ejected the boot CD, put in the SL DVD, hit F5, selected Leopard (although the characters are garbled?), got a grey screen for a few seconds, then kernel panic. No go, no way.

I have still the same problem. Looks like in this picture http://e.znet.lv/scr/boot123_SL.jpg Can't boot, whatever I do. Still trying to understand, why I can't boot from my external DVD (in case if internal DVD-RW drive have some problems). :(

Update. Just tried to press F10 instead of F5 - and it finally shows me MacOSX Install DVD! Yeah, everythink is ok so far. BUT - then I press on that install dvd icon, it tries to boot up, but I get kernel panic at the end. :( Daaamn. It says: panic (cpu 0 caller 0x558993): "Unable to find driver for this platform: \"ACPI\".\n"@/SourceCache/xnu/xnu-1456.1.25/iokit/Kernel/IOPlatformExpert.cpp:1389 etc."

Update 2. When I bought my Macbook Air, i had 10.5.7 pre-installed and there was Snow Leopard "CPU drop-in DVD" in package. I don't know, what that drop-in means.. I think, it is not the same retail disc. BUT - I just tried to boot from it and whoalaaaa installation of SL started! So, it means, that there was problem with retail disc I downloaded and used before. I think, today I will go to the shop and buy brand new retail copy of SL.
