Multiple NICs on Leopard Server

29 December 2008 - 05:49 PM

I have a weird problem with my Leopard installation. Seems like it only recognizes one NIC at a time. I have two Realtek RTL8169 PCI cards, of which one is perfectly recognized OOB and working and the second one is just not recognizes. lspci command lists them both but only en0 is listed in Network prefs. Is there anything I should edit or add to the configuration?

Thanks a lot!

Closing laptop lid freezes system

22 January 2008 - 01:11 AM

First of all, sleep and reboot never worked for me, I also had to disable one core in BIOS, but what's more annoying is that when I close the lid, it just freezes the system. Power and wifi LEDs are on, fans are spinning, when I open the lid, I still see my screen but it doesn't respond to keyboard and mouse.
Any suggestion?

EFI version

15 January 2008 - 04:23 PM

I'm wondering if it's possible to check the EFI version installed? I know I have EFI because I can boot from GUID partition but I'm not sure which version I'm running. Here's my story: I got more or less stable system finally, NVinject works fine but seems to have some problems with dual monitor and sleep. So I tried gfx strings in boot.plist but got blue screen. Someone recommended upgrading EFI to v8 but maybe I already have one? How can I check it?

5-in-1 built-in card reader?

09 January 2008 - 04:54 AM

I'm wondering if it's possible to make my built-in card reader work under leo 10.5.1. I actually don't even know what kind of device is it - must be IDE, or maybe it's sitting on the USB bus - I'm not sure. Any ideas?

Thanks a lot,

Wireless USB that works with Leo?

01 January 2008 - 07:50 PM

Sorry if this is an FAQ but I couldn't find any clear answer on this forum. After desperately trying to get my TI xx12 Cardbus to work with Leopard, I gave up and now looking for Wireless USB solution for my laptop. Can anyone please recommend a wireless usb adapter that works 100% with leo? Is there anything that is proven to work 100% out of the box?

Thanks a lot!
