Hi Ninetto,

OK, here's what I get:

+-o Root <class IORegistryEntry, retain 12> +-o / <class IOPlatformExpertDevice, registered, matched, active, busy 0, re$ +-o efi <class IOService, !registered, !matched, active, busy 0, retain 7> | | { | | "firmware-revision" = <01000010> | | "bootloader-build" = <"ToH","bootlo"> | | "name" = <"efi"> | | "firmware-abi" = <"EFI32"> | | "firmware-vendor" = <4100700070006c0065000000> | | } | |

Now how do I know what version is it?

My temp went down significantly after I disabled one core in the BIOS (I have cpus=1 in my Boot.plist anyway). Now my About Mac shows Processor 2.17HGz Intel Core 2 SOLO but I don't really care. It also seems to run little faster. Can't explain it.

I have exactly the same issue. It was working for a short period of time and them just stopped working all of a sudden. I still have no idea what went wrong.
Does anyone know how to fix it?

Hi Chun-Nan,

One more little thing - my machine just refuses to boot if I enable Firewire ports in BIOS. When I boot with -v option, it freeses after those lines printed:
IOPCCard info: Intel PCIC probe: TI XX12 rev 00
AppleIntelPIIXPATA: Secondary PCI IDE channel is disabled

If I disable 1394, it boots up and works fine.

Not a big deal for me but just in case :)

Looks good on my HP nw9440, leo 10.5.1 kalyway. I was able to change power settings for battery. However my laptop still doesn't go sleep when I select Sleep from the Apple menu. Screen goes black but fans and leds are on. If I close the lid, it's even worse - all fans and leds are on, when I reopen the lid, the screen goes back on but the system is frozen and I have to power it off. Reboot also doesn't work.
