What happened to the guide for install on the 780i mobo? The search just gives me an error and google runs me into other people posting about the 780i board as well.

Upgrading from 10.5.7?

29 August 2009 - 01:04 AM

I've got nVidia and Intel running in my system and have 10.5.7 running via the iPC install and the iDeneb upgrade tools. What can I do to start an upgrade?

How would I upgrade?

I've been running Leopard on my desktop for a while, using it where and when it's needed [a lot, lol]. Now with the release SL, I'd like to upgrade ;) How would I go about doing this on my system?:

CPU: Q6600 @3.2GHz
GPU: 9800GX2 [got one core and 512mb of the vRAM working on 10.5.6 with help on here]
RAM: 6GB DDR2 800

Space left on existing install: ~800MB
Max space on existing install: ~25GB

AMD Turion 64 x2

The other day my friend left me with his Toshiba Satellite A215-S4817, my iPC disc stops on:
MAC Framework successfully initialized
using 9830 buffer headers and 4096 cluster IO buffer headers
[TSC] original delta: -11923892, new deslta: 167. (CPU1)
IOAPIC: Version 0x21 Vectors :23

I have everything planned out for drivers on that disc, but idk about the chipset [i think it's SB600 or something along those lines]

What disc would regularly work on AMD based comps? or what can I do to make the iPC disc work?

Desktop acting wonky

09 June 2009 - 06:52 AM

So I tried OSx86 on my desktop and got it installed great thanks to verdant. Right now, when I leave it alone for a while, or give it too much to do [adding music to iTunes] it'll just "pin wheel" me until i restart it.

I got my 9800GX2 working [only the first core has recognizable memory], all 4 cores are detected, and all 6GB of RAM is detected, and everything else works. Ideas?
