What are the add and cons ? I imagine that clover kext injection can be fine for testing for example ? But "normal" kexts installation are fine for definitive use ? Or Clover kext injection are the best anyway in the point of view of simplicity and clarity ? (or maybe usefull only in case of multiple Os ?) Use clover only when installing OSX or having problems with installed one in S/L/E,otherwise install kext in S/L/E

I had to make a few tweaks to get things running how I like them but have got Ivy Bridge power management working now. I have decided to use an SSDT though as with using GeneratePStates GenerateCStates I was getting a PState of 15 that is below the normal lower range that I would expect from an i7-3770, I don't know if this is a bad thing or not. I think the root cause of the issue was in two parts of my config.plist SMBIOS and KernelAndKextPatches. I would like to understand more about the FirmwareFeatures string in Clover does any one know of any good links explaining this. Also thanks to K3nny for looking over the files in my original post and pointing out the errors I am glad it help u. Maybe u wanna finish this guide soo others can use it ?

In fact, i had when i first tried Clover, and this prevented me to even get to the boot screen. That time, i had to remove CSM and include Aptio UEFI drivers to solve it. The issue i'm describing is of another nature altogether: i put a link to where it's discussed, but i don't blame you for not to read. I took the liberty to copy it here: I beginned: Kyndder answered: I answered back: Then Toleda described the situation we've both experiencing better than i could, and proposed a workaround: And since then, i'm using this workaround. theconnactic, on , said:Hi, folks! As an update of my computer's status with Clover UEFI, i can say that i have perfect power management with a custom SSDT, higher Geekbench scores and sleep/wake working without a trace of that much annoying wake bug. So, all in all, i'm quite satisfied. Although, there are still issues to solve: 1) I use a three-card setup, with Intel HD4000 as primary card, connected through DVI (and sometimes HDMI), a 9800GT in the PCI-e 16x slot, and finally a G210 in the PCI-e 4x slot of my motherboard. All three cards work like a charm (of course, only the HD4000 has boot screen), but upon the arrival of the GUI, the graphics are heavily corrupted, forcing me to unplug/replug the monitor for it to work (as described here #1316 and discussed thereafter by Toleda, Kyndder and myself). I'd love to remediate this issue; 2) The boot screen appears distorted and underscaled despite using PatchVBios=Yes. Only with Clover UEFI it happens: with legac...

If it made for first-time user who is launching system for the first time then it's also not enough. For it is needed such kexts as NullCPUPowerManadgment ApplePS2Controler AppleACPIPS2Nub. But if it is reckoned on usual-users, it is also not understandable. What for? All based uefi pc with patched bios(gigabyte dont need it) dont need anything else buf fakesmc to get installed using clover.
