#2127834 GenericUSBXHCI USB 3.0 driver for OS X with source

Posted by @ROBASEFR on 13 April 2015 - 09:45 PM

That link @ROBASEFR provided has a download button for 10.10.2.Download it, backup the original kext and use your favourite kext installer to install the patched version. It should work as long as your usb3 chip is NOT ASM1042. If it works, then you should learn how to patch your own 10.10.3 kext. It is not difficult.Read the link content.Look for hexfiend app for mac os that helps you patch binaries (it has Find and Replace functions). That way, you can always patch your own after every update without relying on others. "give a man a fish and feed him for a day, or teach the man to fish and feed him for life" No problem.I suggest that you edit your post and put the corrected version there to avoid others copying and having the same issue. You can simply cut and paste mine if you like  :P .Ok, pasted yours !

#2105544 [GUIDE] Scripted Yosemite/Mavericks Install on Gigabyte Mobos

Posted by @ROBASEFR on 25 January 2015 - 03:42 PM

Hi all, Mavericks is running fine on my machine, so I tried to install Yosemite... and hopefully, I did it on another drive!   Any idea on why it is not working ? I'm not using Chameleon anymore but did you use the latest Chamaleon 2.3 r 2549 ?  http://www.insanelym...ameleon-23-svn/ And did you put the "kext-dev-mode=1" as Kernel Flag ? Look carefully the first page of this topic ! "Known issues:" Good luck

Hello, Want to share a nice info I picked up on Macrumors 2 days ago:The " kext-dev-mode=1" bootargument is necessary to sign kexts in Yosemite. There is now a persistend way to do this even applicable in real MAC and survive in case of updates ! In Terminal: sudo /usr/libexec/PlistBuddy -c "Set :'Kernel Flags' 'kext-dev-mode=1'" /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist and to go back sudo /usr/libexec/PlistBuddy -c "Set :'Kernel Flags' 'kext-dev-mode=0'" /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist  :thumbsup_anim:

#2076094 [USB Wifi] Updated Ralink/Mediatek RT2870/ RT2770/ RT3X7X/ RT537X/ RT5572

Posted by @ROBASEFR on 25 October 2014 - 07:56 PM

That's actually what I did when I first set it up but no luck... I still have to activate the profile every time I reboot. Maybe I just didn't install the drivers properly?  Verify your S/L/EandRepair permissions and rebuild kext cache again ( Sometimes Repair permissions of your  disk may give the solution) Good luck This solution works great. I have one query: how can I disable/re-enable the Wifi or disconnect from a connection, without rebooting or unplugging the USB Wifi dongle? No idea !  I never disconnect WIFI ... I'm waiting for a new Mediatek Wifi Utility  (in top screen button you could perhaps toggle on /off ?? Sorry

Any way to fix that?In System preferences you should have the D-link Utility preferencepane ! If so, ok , you open it and clik "Open Profile Drawer" In "Connect Order" window which slides left you click on +Chose your default SSID Wifi networkAuthentification and security:Chose your Authentication Typeand passwordclick ok Now you should ( wich is my case ) have automatically at every reboot connecton on your default SSID Wifi network ! Good luck

#2071214 Nvidia Web Driver updates for Yosemite

Posted by @ROBASEFR on 18 October 2014 - 01:54 PM

Try this New one :http://us.download.n...43.01.01f01.pkg If there is a problem with installing do this: Download Pacifist and install the new nVidia driver this way (open it up in Pacifist and then click the icon in Pacifist - no need to manually extract and install kexts). 3. Open up a terminal window and run the following commandsudo nvram boot-args="-v kext-dev-mode=1 nvda_drv=1" 5. Install the nVidia web driver again but properly this time, i.e. without using Pacifist. 6. Restart. credits : clignc89:http://forum.netkas....u&topic=8522.75
