Well I have my system running fine with an Evga 780i, C2Q9450, Single ata drive(Slave), 5GB Ram, GTX470, DVD RW Drive, on board ethernet and sound all working with 10.6.8. I used tonymacs guide using ##### with 10.6.3 install. When installed run ##### and check #####(non DSDT). I also installed a kext AppleNforceATA.kext(see kexts.com). I needed VooDooHDA for sound. To get the Ethernet working load nForceLan.kext(or the nforcelan.pkg). I then immediately ran the 10.6.8 combo update without issue and before re-boot install the latest Nvidia drivers and add the efi string for my GTX470 to the boot plist. You may have to run ##### and re tick ##### and usb rollback(if usb not working).

BTW the AppleNforceATA kext I'm using is the one from Domenico 'MeDevil' Colella. 2007, x64 rebuild by WIND.

Data sent.

I noticed in a reply here you said that the id's were inverted, does this mean the device id was where the vendor id should be and vica versa. The reason I ask is I am trying to add my device id+vendor id to the info.plist in VooDooHDA.kext. For my audio codec(MCP55 HD Multimedia Cntrller) it's: VenID_10de, Dev_ID_0371 which makes my entry 037110de which looks nothing like the example shown in the thread to do this, oldnapalm's entry starts 0x and is 0x3b568086.

Have you tried installing ##### from #####. It was this that fixed that same error msg for me although our hardware specs are different.

I get the KP "Out of 32kb Range" with these kexts listed:

IOATABlockStorage(Being a plugin of IOATAFamily)

If I install this kext do I need to delete the kexts listed above first or just go ahead and install it as is. I am running OS X(MacPro 3.1 - #####.tonymacx86.com - 10.6.7 - Kernel 10.7)

eVga 780i
Intel C2Q Q9450
40GB Seagate IDE Drive(not partitioned - stand alone disk for OS X)
BenQ 1655 IDE DVD Burner
6GB BallistiX
Gigabyte Ethernet(Marvell 88E116)
On Brd Sound
Logiteck USB Keybrd

I have been trying to use this kext for my evga nforce 790i ultra sli mainboard. After I loaded the kext, the 2 ethernet adapters appeared in the system settings and I am able to configure them, but they always hint that no cable is connected. In effect its also impossible to acquire an ip using dhcp or to ping my router(when manually setting ip). A cable is definitely connected and the NICs are known to work. I am somewhat stuck now and have no idea how to go about this. I would be happy if someone was able to help me.
I used 0.64.6(the .mpkg on first post) and the hardware id of my NICs are both 0x037310de
I installed Snow Leopard using the 10.6.3 retail dvd and the latest version of #####(from tonymac86)
additionally I am using AppleNForceATA kext

I have a 780i(Evga) and found with these boards my Internet connection never remained stable for long. For Internet stability I was better off using a wireless usb adapter which works just fine and typically there are mac drivers available from realtek and others. You can pick them up very cheaply. Have a look here:
