Intel 82865G with 10.4.8 & Semthex

19 November 2006 - 08:59 PM

Now that my laptop is nearly functional with latest Jas 10.4.8 SSE2 combo, I decided to make a try on my desktop.
I downloaded the last 10.4.8 install with semthex kernel and everything is working smoothly except my graphic inboard card : Intel 82865GM. I can't get it to work but in vesa 3.
I miss QE + CI !
I searched and read a plenty of posts on this forum about this card and saw it used to work on 10.4.3 thanks to AppleIntelI830*.kext.
Unfortunately this kext seems not to be compatible with 10.4.8.
Is there any way to get this card working on latest version and kernel ?
Thanks for your help.

BTW, my desktop is a prescott 3.4Ghz (SSE3) with FSB of 266 on an Intel 865GM board.

PCCard ENE technologies, any hope ?

Dear Kext gurus,

As you can see in my signature, I have a Toshiba M30x laptop nearly fully functionning with OS X 10.4.5 from Myzar.

As expected, I found my centrino wifi out of order, so I baught a d-link 630 PCMCIA card, I know now, I should have taken a USB one.

Unfortunately, Toshiba uses an ENE Technology chipset to deal with PCMCIA and all I get is :

IOPCCard : Intel probe not found

when I boot.

Is there any hope I could modify IOPCCard.kext to make this chipset recognized by my Toshiba Mac?

Thanks for your informations.
