#2066197 OS X Yosemite DP's builds!

Posted by ccsr on 04 October 2014 - 11:01 AM

After poking around for awhile now, I'm kinda gathering that you need a 802.11ac compatible wifi card for Handoff…? Does that sound right? No, you do not need an AC compatible wireless card. If that was the case then any mac manufactured before 2013 would not have it. It's still being investigated. We will know more when Yosemite is released to the public in 2 weeks time. My assumption is that if you have a compatible BT 4.0 card with LE and a supported chipset there will be a way to activated Handoff. The CSR cards are a hit and miss, the broadcom cards have normally good support. I'm not too bothered at the moment, I have an iPhone 5S and an iPad Air but they are on 7.1.2 because of the jailbreak. When the iOS 8 jailbreak is released then I will be interested!

I have good news! Finally Apple has sorted out the Nvidia drivers in Yosemite DP6! It is still broken in 10.9.5 but in Yosemite DP6 the graphics PM is fixed and it scales down when you open a photo in Preview. This is an achievement of epic proportions as it has been like this since ML. I have a GTX 650 and had this problem for a long time. On 10.9.4 the Nvidia web drivers fixes the issue but they are not compatible with the betas. This should make some of you really happy.

#2033919 iMessage & Facetime is not working

Posted by ccsr on 25 June 2014 - 01:32 AM

sounds interesting .. how did you do it?  Ic mine it runs with me also (and always! Not only until the next new start of) but only with Clover and with the pre-entered serial number of Clover as a Mac mini Server6, 2  But I do not like, I have an iMac 13.1 and rear as a real serial number. And the aim is yes, exactly like now to take advantage of Mac OS 10.9.3 Mavericks and 4 withmy real serial number and my unique UUID on all systems of the iMac with a clear conscience iMessage and FaceTime. supplement: I can not understand why with the registered serial number of the Mac mini Server 6.2, which is in Clover and in it what so determined to use very many peopleeven know why this works, with iMessage and FaceTime. And above all, the UUID is not the same with my MAC address (8 characters). How does it work? I just installed the latest version of clover, inserted my original serial, I have en0 as ethernet, en1 as my apple wifi and nothi...

CCSR ... absolutely right .. this is not the otherwise "general problem" such as under Mavericks where it runs yes to 100%, with the same data (Reale der.Nr. Mac, credit card ok, etc.)as possible helps for newbies, the tip with the network card must be en0 etc. But here at Yosemite, it is apparent, or almost certainly an identification problem because namely (the boat in the root directory) and Clever always a new UUID is created by thenew boot file of the chameleon, which NOT with the last 8 digits of the MAC address mac's (at Mavericks for example, it's 100% the UUID of the chameleon with my MAC address)and since there are also no problems with FaceTime and iMessage. It is necessary to seek the cause of getting another UUID, which must always be the same .. on EVERY boot loader on the respective machine. Only it recognizes yes the data center, which Machine with which UUID logs and associated Apple ID and of course the real serial number of the Mac's. I m...

Have Clover inject your lan kext. Then I'd use Voodoo for audio, it works fine here. Bang on Snatch! Everything is just as it should! It took many reinstalls lol but I hope this is it until the new beta comes out Monday ha ha Thanks for the tip mate. At least now I know what to do when I need to do it again :)

Have you used the ALXEthernet.kext ? (not signed) Edit: It seems you have the net.Ok, so I reinstalled again and you were 100% right! The culprit is the lan kext! Well, as far as I know, Everything is working fine now but I have no sound or lan. I am afraid of installing things to the extensions folder and break it again. So how do we install things like audio and network? FakeSMC is being injected by clover but how do the other kexts load? Any chance you can point me in the right direction? Thank you again

I did. Should have mentioned that, sorry. Alternatively, you can take your config.plist and import it into Clover Configurator and add any SMBIOS you wanna use, that's how I added mine. I've always used MacPro5,1 so I just stuck with that.Ok cool. I always use the imac 13,2 smbios. Even clover chose that for me and I have it on my Mavericks drive working fine. What I find odd is that no one has this issue with the imac smbios and there must be quite a few in this thread using it. I will add it in clover configurator as I have other edits and don't want to have to redo the config file all over again. Everything is fine for me if I don't log into iCloud at the setup screen. As soon as I connect to the net it seems things start going wrong. Thanks

. How did you fix imsg and facetime? I can never get it working.I installed the lan card with the atheros lc1 kext I have a wifi apple adapter and as soon as I put my credit card info in the mac App Store it worked straight away. I now removed the info from the mac App Store and signed out and back on to both services and it's letting me sign in. I don't know if the card info had anything to do with it

Bump Why don't you just research yourself instead of waiting for people to do all the work for you? It's simple, search in google for cards compatible with mountain lion.
