Just for your information, when you connect your laptop to external display there will be an entry for each display you connect to. Now to your case, I'm not sure you should have Extensions at all not to mention an error in them. EDID versions 1.3 and 1.4 are 128-byte structures and you can notice that if you looked at the Hex Editor and multiplied the number of rows from 00:07 by the number of columns from 0:F which is 8*16=128. This means the last row is the 8th row (row number 07) and nothing beyond that. The software you are using allow adding Extensions so the final matrix is 256-bit and it is called Enhanced EDID (E-EDID). Are you sure you did not press the "Add CEA Timing Extension"? If not, you should ignore/remove the rows from 08 to 0F while you are editing your EDID.  I'm pretty sure I've made changes correctly but to be sure, here they are: https://i.imgur.com/UBm51Nw.png Steps performed:Extract EDID from registrySwitch to EDI...

#2019382 VoodooHDA 2.8.5 for Mavericks (Slice + AnV) (Signed!)

Tried this with my Intel HDA on my Lenovo G500, got rid of the bass/static issues with the last version of VoodooHDA (except slight, almost unnoticeable crackle that appears randomly, might be a result of my settings and not this) Thanks for the impressive work!

Yeah, it seems like your card has next to no support. Everything I'm reading says the only real option is to go without any Graphics Drivers. If that doesn't work, the only thing you can do is look into updating your hardware. Maybe try a different install method (like iAtkos S3 or Hazard 10.6.6 etc.)

I made an edit to my post above, check it out. And by external monitor, I mean using another monitor and connecting it to your laptop (this can be a TV, or a desktop PC monitor) Example:

Hmm. What's your Graphics Card? Are you sure you're installing the correct driver? You might want to try an external monitor. Another thing I think you can try is using the boot flags: GraphicsEnabler=Yes“Graphics Mode”=1024x768x32@60 Together or on seperate boot attemps. I'm no expert, so the things I'm suggesting are from personal experiance and from research. EDIT: Looking up your graphics card, it doesn't seem very well supported. However, it looks like an external monitor might work. You can also look around InsanelyMac, one thread I found that might help: http://www.insanelym...opic=71308&st=0 EDIT 2: This one looks helpful too: http://osx86.co/f36/...-any-agp-t4461/

The support here can be {censored}, sometimes. Which is why I end up solving my problems myself (or not solving them at all). Anyways, you're getting a Kernel Panic, correct? Whatever the case, can you tell us what the last few lines of text are? You can take a photo or type the text.

#1805539 [SOLVED] Snow Leopard (10.6.2) GMA900 Graphics Issues (Gray Screen)

Posted by mattcurtis on 13 March 2012 - 04:33 PM

Hey guys! I've got a Toshiba M55-S135 (old laptop, I know) that I recently decided to try and install Snow Leopard on (wanted to try iPhone Development). I used Hazard's Snow Leopard 10.6.2 distro to install, and it installed fine. But the problem is, that when booting I get a gray screen (when booting with '-v' it goes through everything, no errors or panics). I know this has something to do with the kexts I use for that laptop's GMA900, but I'm not sure how to replace, add, or even where to find the correct kexts, since I can't get into Snow Leopard in the first place. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance! Oh, I'd also appreciate it if someone can instruct me on how to update the bootloader to the latest Chameloen (Hazard only provides two RC3 versions). Thanks again. SOLVED: Used Kexts from http://www.insanelym...owtopic=141549. Seems to have solved the problem, boots into OSX. If I see any problems or find a better solution I'll up...
