How to disable Windows Update in Windows 10

01 August 2015 - 03:57 AM

If your like me, you don't want Windows Update running all the time.

This is how to disable Windows Update in Windows 10:

1. Right click Start and select Run. Then type 'services.msc'

2. Scroll down in services and find the Windows Update service.

3. Right Click then open 'Properties'

4. Set 'Start Up' type to 'disabled'

5. Click “Stop” the Service button.

6. Click Apply or OK button.

DONE! If you try to use windows update it will give you an error.

BUG in process suhelperd[178] and [179] ?

03 November 2014 - 09:49 PM

I get a few lines of these on boot...

11/3/14 3:20:09.000 PM kernel[0]: BUG in process suhelperd[178]: over-released legacy external boost assertions (1 total, 1 external, 0 legacy-external)
and
11/2/14 1:31:51.000 PM kernel[0]: BUG in process suhelperd[179]: over-released legacy external boost assertions (1 total, 1 external, 0 legacy-external)

Anyone know what these are? In my search I have found similar posts on the net... though not #178/179.

Not really noticing any issues. I use Chameleon-2.2svn-r2395.
