Toshiba Qosmio x505-Q893 install won't work!

08 June 2011 - 02:27 AM

Hello, I am trying (and DEFINITELY not succeeding) in installing OSx86 on mt Toshiba Qosmio x505-Q893. I tried ##### and ##### legacy with both a 10.5.1 Retail Install DVD and a 10.6 Retail Install DVD and both fail at the DVD loading. I tried -V for verbose and -X for safe mode and ALL it does is reboot the computer. It happens so quick I can't even see what went wrong. Kalyway and iDeneb DVDs both do the same thing. I have found some articles online regarding x505 Laptops but none regarding this specific model and following those instructions HAVE NOT worked for me -_- . Please help me. PLEASEEEEEE! Below are tech specs for this laptop. Also attached is a file output of my Laptop's FULL FULL tech specs from CPU-Z.

Trick Photoshop CS5 - Multiple cores

21 October 2010 - 01:57 AM

I installed iPC 10.5.6 on my old Dell Optiplex GX620 without a hitch and everything works great. However, the PC has a Pentium 4 processor. I BOUGHT (i really did) photoshop CS5 for mac and didn't bother checking the minimum requirements. CS5 install went FINE the program even opens the Splash Screen but then a message shows up saying something about "This computer doest meet Photoshop CS5 minimum requirements" something like that and when i checked the minimum requirements on the adobe page, it states that you need to have more than one core. So my question is, is there any way I can manipulate system files to state that I have a pentium dual core or a core 2 duo or a quad i7, ANYTHING really I dont care i just want to be able to run the Program so i need photoshop cs5 to think i have more than one core.
