#2225592 OS X El Capitan 10.11.4: Skylake Intel HD Graphics General Discussion

Posted by Majonéz on 21 March 2016 - 11:58 PM

Good news. My HD7000 seems to be working with the new driver. (I only tested the HDMI out yet)Animations, rotation, and no more confusion around the mouse pointer.

Hi Majonez, good work, thanks.I do have 16GB 2800 MHz DDR4, but it shows 16GB 3200 MHz DDR4. Any idea?Frequency detection is not supported yet, I think it is just a cosmetic thing.I just patched the size detection, which is essential to the system. This my CPU Info. Thanks before Majonez :)http://d-h.st/3ghw I think, it will work. @giacomoleopardo No, I'm using the latest stock "Z170XGaming3.f5d": http://www.insanelym...ng-5/?p=2188103 About USB: I'm using the FakePCIID.kext and the FakePCIID_XHCIMux.kext. My ports are working, but I can't test them with USB3 device. @hashish.k I see that you have a different motherboard (Z170X-UD5). You should patch your DSDT too, and do not use my DSDT to your sys, because it can cause hangs and craches.

Hi!  Does Skylake's integrated graphics work fully on your setup? Cheers! I can boot up with both enabled Radeon 5850 and integated Intel 7000 chip, but I didn't find a correct framebuffer data yet. My display get signal from the intel chip, but the rotation not works and I get other bugs.

Do you have source available? Would be interested to see how you did this (and maybe add Broadwell support). https://github.com/majonez I added initial Broadwell support too. http://d-h.st/UDQ9

#2188075 VMWare Fusion 8.0.1 not working anymore, because of weird Memory used 16TB Error

Posted by Majonéz on 13 November 2015 - 07:01 PM

Can not start any VM with any Memory settings with error: "Not enough physical memory is available to power on this virtual machine with its configured settings." I guess it has to do with this weird error that El Capitan detects Used Memory of (static) 1844674403 and Wired Memory of 15,96TB which is the theoretical maximum of a 64Bit machine, I guess. I use Clover as Bootloader, and as coincidence though, clover does not detect the whole amount of Ram but only half of it as real memory (only 8 Slots instead of 16) and only 48GB of Ram instead of 96G. Attached there is a Screenshot, and a complete Darwindump of the Machine. If anybody has a clue, I´d be grateful! Thanks, Hi, The Clover bootloader does not have full support for DDR4 memories, and reports incorrect values to the system. You must declare the values in the config.plist file. Attached Files  Screen Shot 2015-11-13 at 20.01.21.png 21.59KB 1 downloads

Hi, You sould disable sata ssdt drop in the clover config, and your SATA controller will work.I installed the El Captain on my new Gigabyte GA-Z170X-Gaming 3 mothermoard two days ago, and everything works, including sleep too.
