I recently installed 10.5.8 on my brother's PC. Everything works great but he is experiencing some weird stuff that I have yet to resolve.

First, he is dual booting OS X and Windows 7. Now, when he boots OS X, the system does not load after the apple screen (when it goes to the desktop). All you can see is a blue screen. He has an nVidia 8400GS, and it works using Chameleon's "GraphicsEnabler" option. Now here is the weird thing.

If he turns on the PC and boot into Windows 7, then restart and boot into OS X, the desktop does load. Everything works great. For some reason, the system does not boot well unless you boot into Windows and then reboot and boot into OSX. This is the first issue.

The second issue is just as weird to me. If he shuts down the PC while on OSX, once he turns it on again the USBs do not work (at least the keyboard). In the bootloader you can't move to choose which OS to boot, nor can you enter the BIOS (again, keyboard does not work), however, once an OS boots then it works.

I hope I explained myself clear enough. I don't know if someone has experienced this or has a solution. I searched the forum but gave up as I could not find a similar situation. What could it be? By the way, the specs of his machine are: Athlon 64 X2 4600+, 4 GB 533 MHz DDR2 RAM, 320 GB HDD, MSI GeForce 8400 GS.

Como bien dice el titulo del mensaje, tengo un problema con mi instalacion (iPC X-DL 10.5.6) y es que cuando intento apagar la PC lo que sucede en vez es que esta se reinicia. Intente instalando el kext "OpenHalt" pero aun asi no logro resolver el problema.

Alguna recomendacion? Gracias.

I have a problem with my installation (iPC X-DL 10.5.6).

My system works great, but shutdown does not. Whenever I select "Shut down", instead the PC restarts. I tried with the "OpenHalt" kext, but I still can't shutdown properly. By the way, I am using vanilla kernel. Any other fix available?

Which ones should I choose for these?

Chipset: Intel G33 Express
Audio: Integrated Realtek HD Audio (ALC888)
Ethernet: Intel 82566DC-2 Gigabit Network Connection
Video: Integrated GMA 3100 (I know it is NOT supported)
Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300(2.50GHz)

Lo que no sé es cuales exactamente seleccionar durante la instalación.
